yeah Mayweather's overrated and Ruslan Chagaev and Wladimir Klitschko are terrific fighters. that sounds about right.

How would that constitute racism? If someone said 'the heavyweight division boxers are pound for pound, better than Mayweather, that is not racist, it is someones opinion.

There seems to be 2 schools of thought on boxing. People who like to watch a fight and those who like watching the so called 'sweet science'.

I like the sweet science, but you have to entertain. Ali entertained, why can't Mayweather? Why do people boo him out of the arena's?

** So, are you saying if I walked up to you and started saying rude and ****** things to you that you'd love me too?

Floyd is not so much disliked as much as nobody likes him or really cares about him. There's a difference.

Oscar ain't popular with Mexicans either. It's primarily American Latinos and women who've gilded his fortune, and he was a talented fighter with an exciting style who took on the best.

Floyd is talented, but boring as hell and is a promotional dunce. Thanks to Oscar, Floyd $ecured his retirement, but it's debatable if he enhanced his rep, though we have to give him credit for hanging in with Oscar and getting the W.

CanadaJoke is always hating on black boxers and overhyping white fighters. His favorite fighters are Hatton, Calzaghe, Klitschko, Povetkin, etc. Basically any good white fighter he likes and he always says negative things about black fighters in general...

That's cute. I love you now. I love everyone.

When I said I love it, I mean his zeal. His tenacity. His ability to deflect general opinion if him and do what needs to be done to win. If you see my initial statement, I stated that I do not condone the use of invectives or the way that he talks disrespectfully. I stated that in my opening paragraph.

I acquiesce that Oscar's popularity is amongst Americans and women, hints the reason why I stated that his look plays a part in his overall appeal.

I pretty much agree with most of your outlook.

I dont get people. I thought the fight was pretty decent. Not nearly as the hype made it out to be, but everyone should have known that...I never really knew why everyone thought this fight was going to be a brawl or anything...
I just bought it because I was interested to see who would win, I enjoy seeing the skills of Mayweather, and I thought it would be fun to try and help break the PPV buy record, haha.

Mayweather definately won. I usually pretend to score fights for fun closer than they should be, makes them more exciting, but on my real scorecard Mayweather won by at least two rounds.
I thought this was a good fight personally, but whatever...

Is that why there have been more threads posted about him than any other fighter in the history of this forum?

Many people thought De La Hoya won the fight with Mayweather.
