And as for david haye, if he cant even beat Carl 'the cat' thompson there aint no way he is a better fighter than Toney.
The best American boxers should be better than the best UK boxers. Boxing is ingrown within American sporting culture, and a big part of it's sporting history. In the UK, it's a fringe sport, only a fraction of the population know who Joe Calzaghe is. In fact most people who watched Tyson/lewis in the UK, did so because of Tyson.

I was assuming he was trying to say "Floyd Mayweather is regarded as the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world, so why wouldn't he be able to beat Joe Calzaghe?" I could be wrong. I have some nieces and nephews that are just starting to talk so I can usually put together random babbling quite well.

The sports scene in the United States is dominated by, American Football, Baseball, Basketball and Golf.

                .......................

                So?

Fact is US has better boxers than the UK,

Come on dude i live over here and people think Calzaghe is britains greatest ever fighter, thats says it all about UK boxing.

US boxing is where its really at, fortunatley i got back into boxing through watching mayweather, Toney, Jones and didnt have to watch garbage like Clinton woods and pele reid.

                    Are you seriously that ******ed?

Even if they fought at a catch weight of 160 (which I doubt Joe could even make)

It would be Mayweather's SIXTH ****ing weight class. Count them, dip-****: 1-2-3-4-5-6. He would be fighting a person that would out weight him by AT LEAST 30-40 pounds come fight night.

Whats it matter??! Boxing is not an international sport. When Hatton fights Castillo it won't be England vs America.

Who has the best fighters?! Its impossible to tell who has the better fighters, as they rarely bloody fight each other?! Americans fight in America and Brits fight in Britain.

You can't win this argument - especially when everyones point revolves around "USA is way better...cuz i saw an American beat a English boxer before, therefore all Americans are better boxers". That doesn't make sense one bit.

The day EVERY single boxer in the U.K is put against an equally matched boxer from the U.S.A we will have this argument. But before that day, this thread is ******ed.

The only reason its been created is to start some kind of argument between the two biggest gung-ho and jingoist nations of earth. Its not difficult. But its not big and clever either.
