Witter has to raise his US profile, and to do so he needs to win some interesting fights. A fight with Witter would do alright in the UK but it's not going to do anything for his US profile and coule well arrest any momentum he can gain from beating Castillo. I hope Witter loses to Harris so Hatton doesn't have to fight him.

to be honest witter vs hatton at this point in witters career would take years to build up for an american audience, this fight is for the UK in particular, England.

No, because win, lose, or draw.. real fans will remain fans. $in, you need help as you have an unhealthy fascination with Ricky Hatton.
IMO Ricky Hatton does have obvious flaws, but he is a very good fighter, and you don't accumulate a 42-0 record unless you are a very good fighter. True, he does seem to **** on a bit about the win over Kostya Tszyu, and it was a great performance against a great fighter, but only a fool would argue the toss about Tszyu not being in his prime. Also, the same may very well be argued if Hatton beats Castillo, but IMO Castillo is a viable opponent, and IMO he will prove to be a big, big test for Hatton, which is more than i can say for Junior Witter. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Hatton would blitz Witter, simple as that.

Can you post the link when Mayweather turned down the Hatton fight too? there promoters are as bad as each other at making the fight happen, Mayweather only talks money that says alot about the guy. Mayweather wanted $20 Million to fight Hatton when he couldn't even sell 5,000 tickets in the states.

Hatton said he asked for $13 million for a Mayweather fight and he also turned down another opportunity to fight Mayweather because he was going to fight his mandatory Urkal, which never happened.

When did he say he would fight Witter, I have never heard that, he has said if Witter built his profile up and maybe a convincing win over Harris may do that then the fight could happen. Hatton has said he wants the big money fights, Witter does not fit in that bracket in terms of HBO do not fancy the fight. Hatton would beat Witter, there is no doubt in my mind
I'm sure Witter's American popularity isn't much worse than Urango's, the guy Ricky decided to fight. Also, this would have been a big fight back in the UK...

He said he had a cold before the Urango fight not the Collazo fight, yes he said he had a problem with the weight in terms of they were preparing to fight at Light Welter on HBO but when a fight could not be made, HBO said what about Collazo and they took it even though his trainer Billy Graham thought it was not the right move.
So why is he calling out the 154 lb. WBC Champion if he shouldn't have even been at 147 in the first place?

Why the **** would he give Collazo a rematch, he won the fight in my eyes it was definitely close but he won. Also remember fighters do not make fights, they can say who they want but if the deal ain't right or there are better options you move on, he has been there and done that no point going back there again.
You need a good reason? How about that Hatton said he would give Collazo the rematch and then went back on his word? That good enough for you. The fight was controversial.

He does not always use spoiling tactics that is ****e that has just been built up over his last 2 performances, I agree they have not been good but with Urango you ain't gonna knock that kid out, he has the neck the size of a tree trunk. Hatton to beat Castillo by Unanimous decision.
He has only started using these tactics since he upgraded his competition from D level fighters he feasted on for the majority of his career...

Mayweather asked for $20 million for the fight, whats the differance, Hatton has always sold more tickets on his own than Mayweather has. There BOTH as bad as each other for not making the fight happen, so stop heaping all the blame on only Hatton.

I can quote Mayweather's all day about the fight

"He ain't good enough to be my sparring partner. I'm retiring in America, that don't mean I'm retiring in the UK."
"Floyd wants it, but he isn't going to fight in front of Hatton's home crowd."
Now tell me Sin how can you believe anything that Mayweather says, I can keep on quoting like you do with Hatton if you like.
