The REAL Reason You Dislike Hatton

I don't think his fans over hype him, in general. It's just that he seems to get a lot unjustified criticism, and I mean a LOT. As a response his fans try to stick up for their fighter, and as such that is misconstrued as over hyping him. I'm a big fan of Hatton, have been since '98, an exciting fighter in the Gatti mold, who has not really turned on the style in his last few fights. However, knowing how exciting a Ricky Hatton fight CAN be, I will still cheer for the guy. OK, he's not an all time great, but I have seen much worse. Plus he's a nice guy, i have a high opinion of him, I hope more people will too after June 23rd.Comment

Re: $iN and KTFO
He can be illogical by times - people with mental obsessions sometimes have disordered thinking.

As I said on the other thread...it's his fans that piss me off.
To me,given his limited talent...having gotten this far, makes him almost likeable.But....I want to see him fight someone who is not washed up and over the hill.I have only seen his last three fights and the one against Kosta...and have not been impressed. It all made me wonder what the fuss was about.
He looks like a good, hardworking fighter who gets by on heart.Urango,Collazo and the others all had him hurt and holding on for dear life.Which is not a sin...but is he worth the hype?..or course not.He will be flattened as soon as he steps up in competition.
And please...to his fans, stop the Mayweather talk. They are light years apart as fighters, different leagues.
But that is all just talk anyway...Hatton's camp would not put him in with Mayweather until Ricky only has one fight left and they would like one last payday for the cash-cow.
But I have much respect for Hatton coming and fighting in America...at least he is showing some balls, unlike that Calzone fellow, who really needs to grow a pair.Comment
