If nobody says anything negative about this pathetic war, it will never end, and if your going to say "while were at war with terror" the war on terror isnt a war, because wars end. And the war on terror will never end, ever. If everyone just kept quiet because its a "time of war" that keep in mind, WE ARE LOSING, then it would just go on and on with no real resolution and alot of death. Kind of like whats happening now, no real resolution and alot of death.

It is a war it's just not a traditional type of war. We're not used to fighting people dressed as civilians or blowing up cars on the side of the road. The war on terror may never end but it didn't start with 9-11 either. 9-11 just showed that we were not exempt from terrorism. Thank god we had a president at the time that decided to take action instead of worrying what people would think and another attack happening. I'm not one of those that is happy we are in Iraq or Afghanistan but I do think we should have taken out the Taliban and Saddam (who is another *********). I'm not against pulling out now either. I do agree there is unnecessary deaths but I don't think we are loosing. We lose if another 9-11 happens!

You are a hero if you put yourself at risk, on other people's behalf.. Isn't that the definition of the word? All soldiers are at risk.

You don't become a hero by boxing (unless you faced pure evil, and killed it)

I completely disagree with some of what you said, other things hold some truth to it. But to say they hate us because we stepped foot in their land, not because we are prosperous is wrong - they hate everything about western civilization. They are a barbaric people as a whole, who have been fighting amongst themselves over their "particular branch" of religious beliefs as Black Jesus pointed out for thousands of years, they just like to fight, and will pick any reason to do so.

They behead civillians with a knife and broadcast it proudly on the internet, fly planes into the World Trade Center trying to disrupt world economy. They blow up themselves in public markets killing nothing but civillians, to prove what? The list of carnage goes on and on, and you have pity for them?

Do not forget that we did not start this - but we WILL and MUST put an end to it. The *********s have to be wiped out for the good of every nation, and we will win...

I think this speech was bull****. I mean I agree that the soldiers are heroes, but boxers and fighters are too. I felt kind of betrayed when Teddy said that boxers aren't heroes. Boxers are heroes. Look at all the heroes like DLH, Erik Morales, Barrera, and so many others who conquered impossible obstacles with courage and bravery, just like the soldiers. It would have been better had he said that both are heroes. How did you feel about him saying this?

I think Atlas is probably right here.
I wouldnt call Barrera, DLH or Morales a hero in any sense.

Exactly. I'm almost lax to call those ******s human beings. I'll say this though, they may well be lower than animals, name one animal that teaches it's young to destroy its own species.....

Also, President Bush said after 9-11 that we would hunt the people down who did it and prevent further attacks on our soil. There has not been ONE successful attack on our soil since. In that respect we are winning.

This first problem is Bill Maher is a complete idiot and so is Edwards. I don't agree because if Iran or North Korea attacks us we will be fighting a conventional war. Not the type we are fighting with the *********s. So, it won't be a war on terror, it will be with that specific country. If *********s attack us we'll know it because it will be in a unconventional way like 9-11. If we are attacked by Iran or North Korea it will most likely be in a conventional military way.

Can't agree more. Edwards disgusts me with his 'I feel for the poor' bull**** while he gets $450 haircuts and literally lives in the most expensive mansion in his entire county(according to public tax records).
