This first problem is Bill Maher is a complete idiot and so is Edwards. I don't agree because if Iran or North Korea attacks us we will be fighting a conventional war. Not the type we are fighting with the *********s. So, it won't be a war on terror, it will be with that specific country. If *********s attack us we'll know it because it will be in a unconventional way like 9-11. If we are attacked by Iran or North Korea it will most likely be in a conventional military way.

It may well come down to a point in which we are forced to level the entire place just to be done with it.

On 9-12 we could have (and perhaps should have) done so and not one other major country would have said one word about it. Not the Russians, the Chinese, not the Germans - nobody.

I completely disagree with some of what you said, other things hold some truth to it. But to say they hate us because we stepped foot in their land, not because we are prosperous is wrong - they hate everything about western civilization. They are a barbaric people as a whole, who have been fighting amongst themselves over their "particular branch" of religious beliefs as Black Jesus pointed out for thousands of years, they just like to fight, and will pick any reason to do so.

They behead civillians with a knife and broadcast it proudly on the internet, fly planes into the World Trade Center trying to disrupt world economy. They blow up themselves in public markets killing nothing but civillians, to prove what? The list of carnage goes on and on, and you have pity for them?

Do not forget that we did not start this - but we WILL and MUST put an end to it. The *********s have to be wiped out for the good of every nation, and we will win...

I definitely don't have pity for them or condone their horrible actions. All im trying to say is that a lot of these people are so brainwashed by their religion, that they become blind to reasonable or logic actions. The Koran condones killing of non-******s, doing it in a horrible fashion, and sacrificing themselves for the betterment of Allah and them and their families will be rewarded for their actions. Many of the suicide bombers families are beloved for what they have done. It's sick and wrong the stuff they do, it's more the religion that makes them barbaric not the people themselves. They haven't gotten past the fact this isn't the Holy Wars anymore. What Im trying to say is that when you mix blindness of reasonable and logical actions (which religion can do to people) with nuclear weapons and high tech warfare that's becoming available to pretty much everybody it ends in disaster. The sad thing is that we might be getting to that quicker with our involvement in the middle east. I understand that we needed to do something when they attacked us on 9/11 and attacking the Taliban, Saddam, and Al-Queda were the right things to do, but now our further involvement has made the problem worse. If thousands of innocent young american soldiers dying even after the destruction of Saddam is winning the war to some of you I would hate to see what you think losing is.

To me losing is thousands if innocent civilians on American soil dying. It is horrible that young Americans are dying but like Black Jesus said "they signed up for it." I signed up for it so I'm in that boat as well. However, soldiers are trained and aware of the sacrifices. People going to work in a tall building shouldn't have to worry about getting blown up or dying.

How did american lives become more valuable than the lives on the women and children dying daily in iraq? Hundreds of thousands of iraqi civilians are dead because of the war we started. Saddam was a piece of ****, he was an evil tyrant, but under him, the country was stable, the sunni and *****e population knew their place, even if it was unfair, it was stable, now its a ****ing free for all. As a ****** i will tell you right now, Bin Ladin hated Saddam, Saddam had a secular government and by Bin Ladin's standards, had a very "western" type rule over the people.

Bin Ladin thought Saddam was too westernized and couldnt stand the way he ran things. Saddam had no weapons of mass destruction, he was a ********* to his own people, but not to the american people, he had no plans on attacking the united states nor did he care too. He was fine oppressing his own people, and dont lie to me and tell me we remove every evil dictator, we dont, especially if its not a reigon of valuable natural resources, which is why we dont give a **** about africa for the most part unless its indirect action.

If the USA cared so much about freedom, where were we during the Rwanadan ethnic cleansing? Where are we now in Sundan/Darfur reigon? THEY are the ones who really needed our help, god forbid we stop the ACTIVE murder of millions, by ACTUAL *********s committing ethnic cleansing. Instead we de-stabalize a country and make it worse than it was when we got there, opened up a can of worms and are caught in the middle of a civil war.

Imagine for a minute your a civilian in iraq, in your daily life, one day your getting pilfered by the newly active local militia that used to be supressed during the Saddam regime, then Al Queda tries to come and overtake your reigon, then your getting your hosue searched up by US Forces searching for whatever. All of this **** wasnt happening when Saddam kept everything under control.

One thing about the West, we never learn when it comes to the middle east. Everytime the west tries to invade or establish something in the middle east and its unwarranted, we get our asses kicked. These people have been fighting for thousands of years, and all of the sudden, even with our advanced technology were going to just walk all over them and establish "democracy"? Not gonna happen, we need to leave them alone and let them fight their own battle and let them establish their own government.

John Edwards is a typical politician. Completely full of **** and will say anything to get a vote. Back after 9/11 he said. And Im paraphrasing here. ( Even if we have to go into Iraq / Syria and Iran to fight the global war on terror we will do it) Then asked if he and other ********s would support Bush on the war on terror. he said (we will support this president 100%)
Now that the war on terror has grown unpopular, Edwards and almost all ********s have changed their views. But of course they cant just flip flop, that would be too obvious. So "Bush Lied" was pumped into your newspapers and television seats nightly for 18 months. Of course the 9/11 commission which is bipartisan shows no evidence of that.

I think Saddam did support terrorism. No we didn't find WMDs ,I can't argue that, but I think we did stop someone with a lot of power that was supporting terrorism.

Well to be technical, we did not attack Iraq over 9-11. Saddam threw out the weapons inspectors HE HIMSELF signed a treaty in 1991 saying they were allowed. Bush even let Saddam's buddies the French and the Russians try and convince him to let them back in. When they failed, Bush set a deadline to let the inspectors back in. When the deadline passed, Bush honored his word and we invaded Iraq.
