I was delighted by the fight (and would have been if the result was reversed) as it was exactly the kind of fight I like to see.The best man won and I'm looking forward to seeing what both of these fighters do next. Especially against Taylor.
Because it was obvious that he was more concerned with Jermaine Taylor than who was in front of him. I agreed with $in when he made that point a couple days ago. Add on the fact that he didn't make weight on the first try & that implies he was looking past Pavlik & it cost him.

1 - Miranda was fighting going backwards: this is why he looked less aggressive
2 - He threw a lot of punches in the first couple of rounds to slow down Pavlik
3 - He ate some really nasty body shots on a consistent basis.
4 - Miranda was beat down from pillar to post the entire fight

He wasn't dehydrated, he just got destroyed but I really liked his chin, his heart and his conditioning. If he didn't have an amazing conditioning he would've been out of there by the third round. I mean for 3 rounds he was taking flush shots from the bigger man and he was just eating them. If you haven't trained hard you can't do that.

Ahhh, I see the talk ..and excuses continue. Miranda got his ass kicked. Get over it Pantera fans. Poor Patera's clothing line will be in the 2 for a $1 aisle at Wal-Mart today. Serves him right for over looking the white Ghost! Who overlooks a undefeated guy like that anyway?! Miranda's resume was not so steller he could afford to sart making plans for Taylors belts, although he probably would give Taylor's boring ass a hell of a fight and maybe even beat Taylor.

Anyone who was watching carefully should plainly see that it wasn't dehydration, it was the heavy punches continuously being landed by Pavlik that gave Miranda the weakened expression and sluggish movements! Miranda was shocked and stunned by Pavlik's power. Even in the first round, Miranda caught some big punches, with only the ropes preventing him from being knocked down.

Let's all be good sports and give Pavlik full credit for a great performance. Let's be fair to Miranda as well and acknowledge he has a good chin, since almost anyone else would have been finished after a couple of rounds of taking so many big punches. He has lots of heart too, since he was hurt very badly in the 6th round, yet got up twice and continued into the 7th.

What you're saying is part truth, but what really cost him is that another guy threw the cleaner, shorter punches and timed them nicely off the jab.

What I said was the truth & if you looked at my first post you'd see that I was impressed with Pavlik & thought he fought a hellava fight.

It is a ****** way to lose a fight, but it happened yet again.
Miranda lost because he was in with someone who wasn't **** scared of his power.

No disrespect to Miranda, he just ran into a buzzsaw tonight. He hit Pavlik with his best punch, and it didn't even faze Pavlik. If your a power guy, thats pretty disheartning. The first two rounds were intense. After that, Pavlik had his way.
I couldn't agree more with this, i think its easy to underestimate how much psychological damage was done when miranda realised he wasn't gonna blow pavlik away after the hitting him with good shots early on.

Dehydrated or not, for a guy with the aspirations that miranda has he ate too many shots that, without doing a disservice to pavlik someone at that level should not be taking.

I was impressed with pavlik but he didn't even need to vary his offense or work any angles to land on miranda, just kept coming straight down the pipe and landing straight rights and body shots.

To be honest not seen much of miranda, honest question without sarcasm cos i have not seen him at his best to see what all the hype is about. Will he come back better or psychologicaly damaged from this fight, has he been found out or does he maybe need a new trainer? Thanks

                      Its called getting punched.

Pavlik was landing hard punches all night. He wore him down.
