    Pavlik fought a great fight.
And in a rematch he beats Edison Miranda again.

I dont think the weight issue was a factor at all, it was very clear that Miranda was thrown off guard by Pavilks aggression right from the start. Pavilk is a big puncher, there's no denying he's got better technique than Miranda and his physical stature allowed him to fight with that strategy. Miranda’s back peddling right hands just didn’t have the snap to stop Pavlik.

Cory Spinks was also over weight and he had no problems running all night.

Spinks had trouble making weight even though he said he just walked it off. Pavlik said he didn't eat for 24 hours prior to the weigh-in and only had sips of water to make weight, so he had his pronlems as well. The fight was fast and Pavlik pressured Miranda unlike anyone else has. Miranda will learn form this defeat. He never took ownership for losing to Abraham, but he must now realize he was more than beat by Pavlik, and maybe a style change and a focus on some fundamentals could come down the road. I hope Miranda comes back better after this loss, he is a part of the very talented middle divisions (light, middle, super-middle).

anyone can see that miranda had no energy. but he was going to get knocked out no matter what. pavlik just has the better chin to last longer.

I picked Miranda to win the fight but was very impressed with Pavlik. He fought a tremendous fight & deserves all the credit for this big win. But I have to say that once I heard Miranda didn't make weight on the first try, I knew he was going to get beat. To me that meant that he hadn't trained as hard as he should've & was probably taking the fight too lightly.

after 5 rounds 2 judges had it 3-2 pavlik and one judge had it 3-2 pavlik, did anyone in the world see miranda even close to winning the fight at any time luckily pavlik knocked him out or who knows what would have happened

Aww C'mon. Who the hell takes a fight against someone who is undefeated lightly?
I was delighted by the fight (and would have been if the result was reversed) as it was exactly the kind of fight I like to see.The best man won and I'm looking forward to seeing what both of these fighters do next. Especially against Taylor.

It is a ****** way to lose a fight, but it happened yet again.
