Calzaghe: "I Want Taylor Because I Love Beating the Top Americans"

I'm not seeing much here on how Taylor beats Calzaghe. Or is that the part thats common sense? I think common sense is:
Taylor gasses badly, Calzaghe has excellent stamina and workrate.
Taylor's main weapon is his jab, Calzaghe excels at taking away his opponents best weapons.
Taylor doesn't have much power, Calzaghe has an excellent chin.
Taylor is tactiaclly poor, Calzaghe is tactically excellent.
Maybe I'm wrong.Comment

If Pavlik can get past Hopkins, there is little doubt that the match with Calzaghe will happen. I am not sure why Pavlik would want to fight either guy as both of them are dangerous and neither one of them has much of a fan base stateside. It is Pavlik's rising star that is making those fights big. Either Hopkins or Calzaghe could prove to be a spoiler. Abraham wants to fight Pavlik, so why isn't he on the radar screen? He gave the American fans a treat by knocking out Miranda, and most of them would like to see him again. Who the hell wants to see Hopkins?Comment

I'm a fan of Taylor and not so much of Joe, but even I say that unless Taylor improved his stamina and punch output, he wouldn't have much of a shot against Joe.
He wouldn't necessarily need to match Calzaghe's output, since a good majority of his punches are ineffective, but Taylor would have to throw at least 60-70 per round to win any rounds. Workrate is how Calzaghe has been winning lately, and was one of Taylor's biggest problems in his last fight with Pavlik. He just couldn't keep up.
Plus Taylor's not known for body punching, which I think is what anyone needs to use against Calzaghe to slow him down a bit. Joe's chin seems to be pretty decent, but Taylor's power is being underrated by a lot of people based on his last few fights. He'd have more KO's if he was more accurate with his power punches.Comment

Calzaghe is talking him up here cos he was undefeated and coming off two "wins" over Hopkins. Hence it was the biggest fight out there.Comment

What does that mean? Keep him honest? What?
Elaborate on this. How does having a good jab mean that you keep someone in front of you?
"His jab was so good, I had no choice but to give up on movement and just stand there and let him hit me with it"
Define "bigger guy". Pavlik is the one who was able to continue fighting at 160, whereas Taylor had already decided to move up to SMW. Therefore Taylor is and was the bigger guy.
What exactly does that mean? He would have better stamina? The evidence suggests otherwise. Would he be faster? The evidence suggests otherwise.
People talk about the 'athleticism' of Taylor but they never seem to say what exactly that means or what advantage it gives.
I guess I must be overlooking something? Which is...?
I can define everything till I'm blue in the face. Point being, if you knew boxing I wouldn't have to. Regardless, Joe C is a very good fighter. I'm not trying to discredit him. But /u wabt to see him against a short list of guys; Tarver, and JT.Comment

I would love to see this. I think Taylor would whoop Calzaghe's ass, but if he can't it would look great on Calzaghe.Comment
