Still lasted 12 rounds against a Heavyweight Champion though, would you pick Maskev or Ibragimov over Roy Jones?

I dont know alot about Ibragimov, but Maskaev I think would have a good chance. He's fundementally sound, strong, big puncher, if he brought the fight to Jones I'd like his chances.

But its funny you mention Lewis having to go to war with Mercer whilst Klitschko Dominated him..
Klitschko had trouble with adversity because he is so GOOD he never had to face it..

Lewis lost to some dangerous opponents as well.. Just like Klitschko.. Klitschko when he fights dangerous guys and beats them.. they suddnley got exposed.. and were never that good anyways ..or washed up.. ect ect ect..
Mercer was about 60% less the fighter he was at the time he fought Klitschko. Remember Lewis being stunned against Briggs? He overcame that and ended up winning easily. Klitschko on the other hand, has folded everytime he's been under pressure. I just don't think Klitschko has it in him to beat certain guys. I think his brother would have dominated the current crop of boxers though.

I've never denied Wladimir is talented, but it's one thing acknowledging his talent, and other thing saying he's been dominent and the saviour of the division.

Forget this David Haye crap. Yeah he looked good in his last fight, but against a good big strong heavyweight, he will more than likely be tagged and knocked out.

maskeav and ibrag are both much bigger punchers than ruiz. jones's chin wouldnt have held up. they'd have tagged it sooner or later

mercer was on a 9 fight win streak and still hadnt been stopped at that point. he was damaged goods after wlad took him out,,,,not before although he probably wasnt quite the same guy as he was when he fought lewis

Mate I used to watch Maskaev on eurosport, if he ever got in the ring with Roy Jones

                      I like his chances
