Brock is nothing, watched him a bunch of times on friday night fights, knew Wlad was knocking him out

I think Wlad Klitschko is actally very skilled, steward has definately improved his movement, and Wlad must be given credit from trying to clear up the heavyweight picture.

In 2006 he Beat Byrd, Austin and Brock thus i actually gave him fighter of the year, because people were picking two of those guys to knock him out, but he prevailed.

He is Easliy the best HW out there, and his right hand is so quick, no one can see that coming.

Until the NFL stops giving multi-million dollar contracts and signing bonuses...Never. One has to come along sure but more people would rather play with protective gear on and get paid out the arse than get punched in the face for a few hundred bucks until they become a superstar.

Look at the amateurs now...Their isnt anybody.

What about David Haye? he can fight man, he only lost a fight because carl thompson pretended to be hurt, and haye wasted all his energy trying to finish him off.

        Haye> Brock and Austin etc.

        lol.

Wladimir Klitschko and Sam Peter are the best Heavyweights at the moment by far, in my opinion. The future of the Heavyweight division rests on the shoulders of guys like Eddie Chambers, Chris Arreola, and Jonathon Banks.

It doesnt happen that often. You had Jack Dempsey, then the next really great heavyweight was Louis, then Marciano, Patterson and Liston were pretty good but had short title reigns, then you had Cassius Clay, Joe Frazier, Foreman, Ali, Holmes, Tyson, ends there.

If the promoters cared a bit less about lining their pockets and protecting their fighters we might actually have some decent fights. It's like Gary Shaw said, boxing needs to be more like MMA whereby losing a fight isn't the end of the world, and putting on a good show means something.

But in fairness he's not been dominant in the division. Sure he's very skilled and when he wins he usually wins big, but he has yet to avenge a loss or to unify. It doesn't help him the fact that he's a cautious guy too, and his personality hasn't done him any favours.

Yeah Shaw likes to toot his horn but does little to help and it instead jumps ship...If he thinks it should be more like it why dont the slimy fat grease ball piece of **** do something positive about it....

A recent MMA show in my hometown of 7,000 people had an amateur cage fighting show cost of tickets were 50 bucks it attracted 1,300 people...Boxing should be doing these numbers...Roy Eglebracht (sp?) out of California is the mastermind of putting great boxing shows on at a low cost and sells out his fights over in Cali with little unknown fighters...Promoters could take a page or two out of the book from him.

One of the trainers/promoters at my old gym switched to MMA and promoted that fight in my hometown it was in a cage. I contacted him and we are in the works of trying to put together a mma/boxing crossover show in the same venue it was at originally (fairgrounds) and see how that plays out. Instead the fighting will be in the ring as the same as boxing...

More promoters should take that approach or at least experiment with it...The general public just wants to see great fights whether its in a cage or in a boxing ring.
