Now now. I'll forgive the many statements saying how you guys 'own our asses' and stuff like that, considering its all cyclical anyway. Who exactly ARE 'you guys' considering it was US who took that country over in the first place. But then that would bring the issue up of...who are we? Seems though we were pillaged and conquered by a number of different countries first? So is it the Vikings who actually own America? Or the Normans? Or the Romans? Or what?
As you can see, none of this is an argument worth getting into and none of it is truly answerable, so this 'you guys owe us for WWII' or 'you guys are our whipping boys' or whatever is pointless.
But the statement of:
"Yet still managed to rise to unprecedented global power eh..." IS so ridiculously answerable to the point where it is crying out for a response.
Please give me your definition of 'unprecedented', because I believe it to mean unparalleled, or without previous equal. And you simply cannot possibly be making reference to the current power of the USA in that regard. Can you?
I mean...sure, there's the British Empire. Which was the most extensive empire in the history of the known world, which consisted of over 1/4 of the worlds population and covered almost 15 MILLION square miles.
But thats just the tip of the iceberg really. The Russian Empire was pretty ****ing huge too. The Persian Empire was rather impressive. Hell...compared to the days of yore, the power you currently have considering that at least 7 or 8 other countries have the ability to completely obliterate you or themselves with nuclear missiles is pretty much negligible.Comment
