Is Hatton One of the Top 30 Fighters of the Last Decade?

I do think Hatton can easily be one of the top 20 fighters since 1997, i dont hate on him or anything infact i watch most of his fights, he has had some exciting fights, and i think if he fights in the welterweight division he can achieve almost everything, Mayweather,Cotto, Williams,etc there are many fights for him there rather than light welterweight, but i dont think he will move up because of what happened in the collazo fight and he turned down Mayweather couple of times saying he wasnt ready yet.

Great list, similar to mine, i hope you understand i have to be critical.

1) Steve Collins is NOT better than Ricky Hatton

2) Neither is Sven Ottke. Skills wise Ottke is better, but the waters have been murkied by too many screw-jobs in germany.

I said in terms of achievements, Collins beat Nigel Ben Twice, Chris Eubank twice, both of these legend he beat them twice, i know they were far from their primes but its still a better achievement.

Ottke I dont like him, he always got ****ing gift decisions and to be honest I would even go on to say Hatton is more skilled than him, although i do admit i havent seen enough of him to comment further on skill, obviously hatton is a better fighter than ottke as well. but again the accomplishments were better, robberies or not W is a W, there were couple of robberies and couple of legit but he defended his title 20 times.

All 30 of those I listed IMO have achieved far more but Hatton can catch up, thats my true opinion.

It cant JUST go on skill. You can be the most skillful fighter in the world, but if you've got no heart then how can he possibly be a top fighter? If you've got no determination, no chin, no strength, no motivation etc etc etc.

Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank in my opinion are greats. both good fighters, Collins beat Nigel Benn TWICE both by TKO, Then beat Eubank TWICE, both by decision, then beat one or two C level fighters and retired, the fact is he beat legends in eubank and benn, even though they were past their prime that achievement is better than Hatton's IMO.

It takes skills to protect your chin

The more Skills you have the less heart and determination you need,

And besides heart is very subjective, right down your alley, you know how hard it would be to do a top 30 based on heart?

There are so many variables to take into account, that basing your opinion of Hatton and of this poll, purely on skill..... makes it seem like your mind was already made up in the first place and is not likely to be changed.

Therefore, if you can't come into a poll of this sort with an objective frame of mind...... then don't come into it at all.

You named your 30 fighters to Miksterious, so I'd appreciate you naming their achievements ( since 1997 ) and why they are better than Hatton ( Again, since 1997 ) please ?
