Tito was a much bigger draw, this fight was just better promoted. Oscar said it himself, if that fight would have been promoted by Golden Boy it would have easily hit 2 mill.

that's still pushing it i think. but i dont know, most of the regular and nonboxing fans i know wouldn't buy it again, and personally i wouldnt, ill just wait for the replay coz i know how the fight's gonna be played out, the only thing diff might be the winner.

and if not for the hype, these ppl i know who knew a little something about these fighters wouldnt have even bought it.

they really have to double hype the rematch, if there is one.

im sure if it does it will be im september, both fighters announcing the official retirement after this re-match....that would be something.....and having a press after the fight for both fighters to hang em' up that should also be included in the contract so that the fans would be interested to see these fighters fight for the last time, that would be something great and that should happen and i think it will live up to the hype

Sadly the fight might end up not doing boxing any good, as most people didnt think it was a good fight. I can absolutely guarantee a rematch would do considerably less.

Regarding the numbers, 24/7 and golden boy are to thank. The marketing of the fight was incredible and had that epic event feel.

That fight was also promoted very well, they also had an HBO special for that fight.

I honestly don't think that even if there was a rematch it would even come close to saturdays #'s. The fight wasn't what people expected. I don't think many will pay to see a rematch between these 2.
