You might be right. Rematches never do that well unless they are complete brawls. Thats what is wrong with people and connecting with boxing. They hear the name De la Hoya/Mayweather and drool thinking its going to be a war. This shows just how shallow anybody was to think this fight would be exciting...It was a tactical match and one a true boxing fan could love and even one a person who just bought it for the hype could enjoy considering how close the fight actually was.

Its a shame because we have great fights like Cotto vs Torres, Gatti vs Ward, Brewster vs Liahovich and so forth that are bell to bell action and go unnoticed. If these fights 1/4 of the exposure DLH vs Mayweather got we would see boxing back on broadcast and network television and see better numbers in the fan base..But we dont...The sport hurts itself and Oscar wants to say this is the fight that will give boxing life again...Sure it did, but lets see how they do with their other events coming up...I bet it will be just like any other fight...We can blame nobody but ourselves for the cess pool the sport is in.
