Ceuvas is not half the fighter Chico was and he is in the Hall of Fame. Beowolf you need to research some inducties before making blanket statements. Chico would be a shoe in, in the Hall of Fame.

I have researched the Hall of fame. I've researched it enough to know that nobody is inducted immediately to the Hall of Fame, and from what I've seen of Chico Corrales he isn't worthy for swift inclusion (first ballot) in the hall of fame. His wife beating exploits leave a bad taste in my mouth too. However nice he was the rest of the time he can't retroactively be made a Saint.

He will probably be in the Hall of Fame in due course, though due to the slipping standards (this year apart) exhibited recently.

He was a warrior, like Gatti. Not a great. If he is inducted it will be in due course with the proper process, and that's how all inductions should be.

The IBHOF Home to men who have tossed women over balconies, beating their wives, murdered people an alleged british serial killer. Your right he was too decent for the joint. The gesture is what would be meaningful and I am not naive enough to believe they would do it. The World Boxing Hall of Fame in Cali is a different story.

The IBHOF is not a place that should be for meaningless gestures, it should be a place that rewards people on the stregth of their careers rather than on an unfortunate young death. It's disrespectful to all those greats in the hall to enshrine someone purely on the basis of death.

Who is the serial killer you mention?

I wonder what great Carrers Burt Sugar and Jose Suliman had which warranted their induction.

              lol

Its laughable, on Boxing scene we get posters and guys like Billy Graham telling us guys like Ricky Hatton will be in the hall fame after fighting tsuyu, massa, tackie, and these guys.

Corrales wins 40/45 fights, beats Casaymayor, Castillo, and finishes frietas back to back.

He only ever lost to Mayweather, Castillo, Casamayor and clottey,

Yet people wanna talk about how he is not worthy?

              Shocking lol.

They say every man has one tragic flaw. I dont think what an athlete does outside of his sport should effect how he is remembered in it.

Greats like Jeff Fenech and Daniel Zaragoza would be up in arms your right. I bet Willie Pastrano is spinning in his grave knowing his great legacy would be tarnished by Corrales. Edwin Rosario is probably having a fit I am even bringin up such rubbish. Thanks you have made me see the light.

I never thought Corrales was a great fighter, and I cant back away from that statement just because he just passed. I will say that he belongs in the hall by their standards, but if I was running it I wouldnt have him in there because I believe only great fighters deserve to be in the hall.
