Has to be inactive for at least 5 years to be inducted.

Perhaps they could make an exception, or at least do somekind of ceremony for him at the next hall of fame where they can pay their respects and say that he will be inducted ASAP.

Really Enstein. The World Boxing is the place to go, they will surprise us I swear. I am drafting a letter tonight for the forum to send in unison individually signed. The flooding of letters will be mentioned bet me, that will do alot to honor him in itself.

Yeah an induction into the Hall of Fame quickly would be nice. 5 years from now wouldn't have the same effect. Also Showtime or HBO should do something in his honor for all the great fight he gave them.

I think this is just going over the top. The bottom line is that Corrales didn't have the kind of career that should see him inducted into the IBHOF in 5 years time, let alone immediately.

He was a very good fighter at his peak and was at times very exciting. Yet he was too inconsistent to be a great fighter, and is remembered almost as much for controversy as for excitement.

I think a memorial service at the IBHOF on the date of the next induction would be appropriate.

The loss is unfortunate, and my heart goes out to his family, but I never thought of Chico as a Hall of Famer before, and his untimely death won't change my views.

For me he was, and would have been inducted anways,

The hall of fame is just that, Hall of FAME.

Its not Hall of the best fighters ever.

If Burt Sugar gets in there without ever fighting,

If Jose Suliman can get in there without fighting.

Diego Corrales gets in there for risking his life inside the ring every time he fought.
