I don't think that his untimely death should influence the IBHOF. his case should be considered on its own merits in five years time, and my opinion is that he was not good enough to include anywhere close to the first ballot. His case is very borderline so don't get carried away.

He was a good fighter, but was more of an entertaining chinny brawler than a genuine top-of-the-game fighter. His weight making shenanigans should count against him in some measure.

He is a loss to the game though, and will be missed. His first fight with Castillo was obviously superb.

My thoughts go out to his family.

Yeah but it will be special for his legacy with this years induction, history making. He will be in the hall for anyone to see next year and forever with his own section like he deserves.

They are scrapping the bottom of the barrell lately for inducties, trust me he will make it in the Hall. Have you noticed some on the past lists lately.

True because of the lack of stars boxing is creating for themselves...But it will get better in a few more years when Tyson/Lennox/Holyfield and others of the great 80s/90s generation are eligible.

But I wouldnt necessarily call Whitaker/Duran/Lopez exactly bottom of the barrel and is a good list of inductees IMO.

Yeah, Barry McGuigan wasn't exactly a great HOFer.

If A fighter I love Terry Norris makes it first ballot with his chin problems and fouling nature, you are running out of guys certain years. This year is an exception of course. The world Boxing Hall of Fame in LA should try and be contacted and are more likely to do it also.

I hope you not being sarcastic because otherwise I didn't want to name him, but one win over an aging Pedroza and that was it.

World boxing might be easier to tackle if someone drafts a unison letter.
