I find it a little strange that they became partners so quickly, Oscar should've won the Academy Awards for that fight.

thats why floyd cant retire. oscar has faced many hall of famers he might have came up short, while floyd has won all his fights but the caliver of oscars opp will over shadow floyd if he doesnt fight.
if mayweather retires he never faught top fighters who called him out, like hatton, williams, cotto, mosely, and margarito. oscar has faced every body with the exeption of winky.

Valid point, but it is possible after the fight they became friends, I mean look at Felix Trinidad, Hopkins threw the flag, disrespected him, so much hatred between the two, and now that the fight is over, they are good friends and hang around with each other, this can be seen with many rivals with the exception of ali/frazier and barrera/morales, they are just meant to hate each other. I do remember hopkins wanting to start his own promotional company, but oscar got him signed as a partner realising hopkins is from a tough part of philly and he can get in some tough philly fighters.

Their friends years later, not partners a week after the fight.

I agree except I had the Whitaker fight a draw.

I hate when idiots claim he clearly beat Quartey because of the 12th round. Did people watch the previous 6 rounds? If he won (he shouldn't have) it was by the skin of his teeth.

Williams and Margarito are not top fighters and Hatton, Mosley and Cotto all turned down fights with Floyd more than once.
