I actually liked and defended Joe for a long time, until I heard a post fight interview with him, and he came off as very arrogant. it was a major turnoff. He is much different from the more humble English superstar Ricky Hatton.

Anyway as far as your assertion goes, I think that applies to alot of people who dislike Calzaghe, they gravitate toward his closest competition. Of course their styles are also different so it is possible that some just prefer the Kessler clean power style to the speedier but rougher style of Calzaghe.

being arrogant has nothing to do with ability though, i just signed up a few days ago and while reading through a few threads the impression i get is most guys from america have only seen kessler fight maybe 3 times. he's been on u.k tele at least 10-15 times and looked ordinary against scrubs. i wouldn't say im a huge fan of calzaghe infact i hated him for a while after he schooled eubank but ive got to say honestly that to me he looks head and shoulders above anyone from 160-175.

I havent read your posts and have no idea whether you are an alt or not, nor do I particularly care. Posters are just posters as far as I am concerned. Though that is a bit of an staple alt question.

Karma is effectively reputation points. If someone agrees with something that you say, they can 'reward' you for it by giving you good karma. If they dont like what you say, they can 'punish' you for it by giving you red (ergo negative) karma. The result is supposed to be so that people can see who the respected posters are and who the contentious posters and the ones best to avoid are. Unfortunately idiots like Gunstar tend to try and use it as one-upmanship and as a popularity contest and thus it is not an indication of quality, but more an indication of whether or not you have annoyed any vindictive and pathetic people who actually give a **** about whether you've got a series of red of or green dots underneath your username.
