Peter is going to overwhelm Maskaev, that's a nightmare of a matchup for him. But Oleg can box a bit and he can punch; he's not that bad, it's just that Peter is a ****ing monster.

How's Haye's chin, by the way? I've heard rumors but have not seen. It better be first class, the way he opens up.

No. Read above posts. Sorry, but unless he receives a full on makeover, which is hard at 27, he's never going to be at the very top. Certain things should be learned waaaaaaay earlier than that. But he'll remain an entertainer. I'll watch his fights.

I agree and in a following few years the HW division will get much deeper and Haye WILL have to fights the guys since most of the talent is coming from Europe.

this is most likely true, unless Peter gets way too ****** and does not train/underestimate Maskaev. He needs good workrate to overwhelm, as you said, Maskaev, or else it will be a clinch fest with Maskaev possibly clinching out a win(boy, will I laugh if he does) I am not sold on Peter being a one punch ko artist that everyone makes him to be.

Well we was decked heavily in the amateurs (though I didn't see it), then as a pro against blown up Lolenga Mock and multiple times against Carl Thompson (both of which i did see) but on that occasion it was cos he'd punched himself out.

He certainly doesn't have a good chin, though I don't think it's as bad as it seems. If he hangs his chin out and fails to see a big punch at HW he'll be in trouble.

I believe he stands a very good chance against heavyweights with suspect chins. He has tons of speed and I can't see many beating him without getting their chin checked first. Obviously he's not the finished article, and never will be, but if he's matched up right I can see a good future ahead for him.

Haye does have a supect chin but it is not normally a factor as he has usually ko'd his opponent before he gets hit. Im not sure how well he would do at HW but I would favour him against every CW around at the moment.

I mentioned this. I'll give Peter a 60/40 edge, but damn this is a great match and not at all easy to predict in detail.
