Haye Makes a Heavyweight Statement in Win

David Haye (19-1, 18KOs) made a statement in his heavyweight debut by crushing Poland's Tomasz Bonin (37-2, 20KOs) in less than two minutes of the first round at Wembley Arena on Friday night. Haye weighed a strong 231-pounds for the fight. [details]

David Haye is the right size to fight (and succeed) at heavyweight:

      Wlad: height 6'6'' reach 81
      Chagaev: height 6'1'' reach 74
      Maskaev: height 6'3'' reach 79
      Briggs: height 6'4'' reach 80

      Haye: height 6'3'' reach 80

I think that Haye has A LOT of potential at that weight and at Cruiser. He has some great talents, excellent speed and power, a good ability to pick his punches and he seems to carry the weight on his frame quite easily. We will see how he progresses, but he was very impressive last night.

231? That's way too high if you ask me, 215-220 sounds perfect.
