I don't know about fastest, but Tyson was definitely the most explosive.

It's a very close race between Ali, Patterson & Roy Jones.

Ali was virtually a cruiserweight by today's standards.

Really? Didn't know cruiserweights weighed in at over 200 pounds.

Ali, footspeed, handspeed, head movement.. he had it all. Look at how damn low he held his hands in his prime.. for any man to be 200+ pounds with speed like that is incredible.

Not even Superman was able to beat Ali in a boxing fight.

it's definitely ali. ali's footspeed was completely unique in boxing. i've never seen an athlete of that size move like that.

honorable mentions go to floyd patterson, and michael dokes.

my ass, dude. that's just a bad post.

ali was in shape, and today's HW are fat and lazy.

ali was not a small guy. he was under 200 lbs for two years of his pro career. by the time he fought liston in '64 he was 210, and 206 for the rematch.

in the 70's he was between 210 and 225 lbs.
