yea,,,Im not sure sugar ray won that fight either. probably should have been a draw if anything. my point was that a surgically repaired torn retina isnt a career ender by any means

i hear ya. i know that you know what your saying. i was just making sure that people who read the post who haven't seen the fight know that there is more to it than what went down in the books.

in fact, many fights have to be watched to truly have an understanding of them. even then, so many people only see what they want to see.

getting back to the brewster/klitschko fight. brewster may be a bit rusty, even though he has plenty of time for sparring. on the other hand, he may be refreshed from the approximately one year and three months layoff. kostya tszyu, for example, came off nearly a two year layoff to shake sharmba's brain in three rounds.

klitschko is much sharper now. i seriously doubt there will be another unsolved mystery in this rematch. i will be pulling for wladimir so hopefully justice is served. we all know that there's no way brewster won the first fight by himself.

In terms of a victory, only Brewster has to gain.

But in defeat, both men can suffer.
If Wlad loses, all those strides he made AGAIN are erased and this time I don't believe he'll be able to regroup.
If Lamon loses, he'll have lost two in a row AND his career-defining victory will have been erased.

I like Lamon alot and I respect Wlad for attempting to avenge a defeat....even if he really didn't have too.

it aint the win itself wlads after
        its the reckoning..............
to be the best you not only gota fight eveyone
but ya gotta clear the doubt u may have left
and that brewster lost left alot of doubt on his shoulders
he knows hes gotta prove he is the better fighter by beatin and ofcourse
        KNOCKING HIM OUT

why aint he goin after sanders?
        cuz he cleary was fluke
sanders did nothin after KO wlad
while brewster on the other hand went on to get some notoriety with his KO over golota and those other wins with the othe germans or european guys

I like both these boxers too, both are top heavyweights and men of strong character outside of the ring as well. You're right, whoever loses, it will be devastating for his career.

It's going to be interesting to see how the "new & improved" Wlad will do against a dangerous puncher like Lamon.Wlad's last few fights have been impressive. But they've been against carefully chosen opponents.Neither Austin,Brock,or certainly Byrd are too dangerous in the power department.

True..And he had some problems there.Although only one of the knockdowns was legit IMO.When Wlad was backing up with his hands down.
