now i know wlad has power but hes not very good at stopping an on
rushing opponent and brewster may just do that. yes wlad aint no
golota but he could still get koed early IMO and he could also ko lamon
a lot of people seem to forget that lamon actually did rush wlad at the beginning of the first round of there first fight but wlad thwarted it. still,,,,,brew is more than capable of hurting wlad and will be dangerous while he's in there. brew is my 3rd fav heavyweight behind the klits and although I wanna see wlad win this fight,,,I also want brew to at least be competitive and not take too bad of a beating

        Best Matchup of 2007 IMO

The unpredictability of the outcome of this fight makes it more exciting. People who think it will be another easy win for Wlad are mistaken, and I'm saying this despite being a Klitschko fan. People should't underestimate Brewster, he's no pushover, this fight will be a war!

Both fighters have something to prove, they'll both be well prepared and emotionally pumped. Personally, I'm looking forward to this one more than Mayweather vs. De La Hoya or any other fight.

Quote Jeff Jacobs, Brewster's manager: "It's very rare that the two best heavyweights in the world get in the ring together."

          Klitschko-Brewster Presser!

          April 25, 2007

          By Wolfgang Schiffbauer

K2 Promotions announced the heavyweight championship bout between IBF and IBO titlist Wladimir Klitschko and former champion Lamon Brewster at today's press conference at the Köln Arena in Cologne, Germany. The 19,500 seats venue will host the bout, billed as “The Rematch” on July 7.

In 2004, Brewster scored a shocking TKO victory over Klitschko to take Klitschko's WBO championship. Since then, Klitschko has bounced back to become the best heavyweight in the world, while Brewster lost his crown in his last bout a year ago.

First, Klitschko manager Bernt Bönte announced a press conference at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on the afternoon of “Cinco de Mayo”, right before De La Hoya vs. Mayweather, to kick off the press tour in the USA. He also told the media, that in addition to HBO in the USA and RTL in Germany, the bout will be broadcast in more then 100 other countries.

Brewster manager Jeff Jacobs told the press, that it’s "very rare that the two best heavyweights in the world get in the ring together" and also thanked Klitschko for accepting their challenge.

Brewster himself thanked the media, the whole promotion and told the press in attendance that he is very happy to be in Germany again.

After Brewster finished, Klitschko took the podium.

"This is a very special championship bout to me," he said. "Special because I’ll fight Lamon again, the last man who beat me. He lost his last bout but it was a 'Fight of the Year' candidate and he really showed a championship effort. He is a great warrior, has a big heart and over here in Germany, Lamon is something like a heavyweight superstar after his victories over Luan Krasniqi and, for sure, myself. I’m very glad to have a second chance to fight him."

He continued saying he is very happy about the nice atmosphere and reminded everybody that this is a sport and that it’s not about trash talking like Don King did before the Austin bout. "Beside that, it was way easier to negotiate this bout without King. It will be a amazing fight, you shouldn’t miss it. After the first bout, I had to take a long road back to the top. Many people said a lot of bad things about me and definitely, I didn’t like it. This fight is a dream that comes true for me and I want to prove my critics wrong."

After this, both fighters accepted questions from the media and it was asked about allegations that Klitschko was drugged before their first bout.

"I was very dissapointed about that," said Brewster. "You know I believe in God and he would never let me go through with cheating. If I or somebody of my team did something like that, I wouldn’t be who I am."

Klitschko responded: "I don’t want to look like a bad loser. I never said that Brewster had something to do with this. I said that about somebody else. I never wanted to take anything away from Brewster's victory."

The champion also told the press, that he won’t train in Mallorca, Spain this time, but in Austria because of the heat in Mallorca.

No, he won't be able to pull a Golota against Wlad.

Wlad was easily beating Brewster in the first fight before he got sick. Now Wlad is much improved and Brewster is stale and may have a damaged retina, and Wlad won't be drinking out of strange water bottles this time either, so it should be an easy win for Wlad - but of course a big puncher is always dangerous.

He will have the same heart and power to win the fight. But many people on this site are feeling that brewster will be an easy fight, i think it's one of the most dangerous fight, and if he wins he will get not much credit, because brewster come off a loss an an injury. The klitschko dream to become both champions, is in danger to.

                      what do yout think
Its an easy fight and rather poor matchmaking after the status of his last opponent, since when did a loss and severe injury qualify you for a world title fight, while we have Sam Peter fighting two eliminators and waiting and waiting we get a guy Austin coming off a draw and Brewster coming off a loss!
