this thread just reveals the intelligence of your average paciauo fan.

i mean, this ****er really thinks bruce would've had a chance in a real fight. against a real fighter. which bruce wasn't.

what's even funnier, is listening to these dip****s predict what bruce lee would do in a real fight, when he never even had a real recorded fight...

i swear, it has to come up at least once every three months, some twat sees an old bruce lee flick and thinks what if, and posts the thread. this is no intelligent conversation, just the type of thing that makes me cringe and look away, and the fact that so many people even responded to it just lets you know theres tons of kids on this forum, no adult who knows their fighting would consider lee a threat to even a club fighter.

Bruce Lee was a lightweight version of Jean Claude Van Damme, that looked better, had more charisma, and could act better. (Tho I wouldn't be suprised to see Van Damme, who got punked by Golden Gloves contender Chuck Zito with one punch, beat up Lee based on size difference) He starred in cameo roles since the age of three. A born actor, Lee practiced in martial arts. Never fighting. He claims to have fought whoever challenged him but it's all bull****. Nothing is on film. And it was in a time when the camera was invented. So, it's all bull****. The guy was an actor who knew martial arts and knew how to choreograph a fight scene like no other. That's it. Bruce Lee cult fans need to ****ing die along with nascar fans.

            Forget Paciauo,

Think about what kind of damage a guy like wayne mccullough can take to the head. Lee would gas out from doing high kicks and end up having to take off running from the Pocket Rocket. I mean it's just a joke. As a kid, I was inspired by his movies and loved the fact that he'd fight 12 dudes in an alley. Then I realized it wasn't real. Just like with santa claus. and wrestling.

What's that supposed to mean? IMO, Pac would beat Bruce in a sanctioned boxing match (with the rules in place). But like I said before, in a street fight, Bruce has had more ground fighting experience than Pac.

I'm a Pac fan, as you can tell.

Well, let's see, I'm definitly not a kid and I agree it's sort of silly to talk about what IF's, especially when the two fighters invlolved are two different styles. I will make an intelligent argument for Bruce, based on what I have read and heard from one person who actually knew Bruce Lee.

I studied a Martial Art known as Arnis or Kali. It's not well known but it's a Phillipino martial art. I grew up boxing but my brother married into a family from New York city that taught Arnis, so I took advantage of the free classes. Anyway, I once got to meet Danny Inosanto. You can Google the guy and read all about him and his credentials. He studied under Bruce Lee and, like the kids we were, asked him very excitedly about Bruce Lee. He said Bruce was WITHOUT a doubt a real fighter and could handle himself outside the movie studio. I know what you will say, "whats the guy SUPPOSED to say about his friend", right? Well, he would talk about how Bruce would spar, FULL CONTACT, with many different fighters with different styles and NO ONE could handle his speed or strength. I also read Kareem Abdul Jabbar's autobiography and he had an entire chapter dedicated to Bruce Lee. He talked about what a phenom this guy was and how incredibly strong he was, not just for a man his size but how strong he was PERIOD.

Who knows what would happen in a boxing ring but in a real fight I have no doubt Bruce knew what he was doing and Manny Pacquiao or any other boxer wouldn't stand a chance against Bruce in a fight where you could kick, punch and grapple and yes Bruce could do all three.

wow, lots of argument, though I like it very much, Im ONLY wondering what you guys think about the match-up. But there are some of here who try to murder this thread, clearly Bruce Lee and Pacman hater.

I got a red square from this one:

People get too worked up over a simple discussion. You'd think a person had really done something in real life to them.

Bruce Lee was not only one of the P4P strongest, fastest man alive, his student was Joe Lewis, the same man who created kick boxing and many considers Lewis the greatest kick boxer of all time.

I love Pac but Bruce by death!
                      I hear you.

Bruce had the FULL support of the organized martial arts community.

His students and followers were world champions in various styles.

Guys like 1970 World Heavyweight Karate Champion Bob Wall swore Bruce was the deadiest man who ever lived..

Journalists would describe the tension and horror of seeing Bruce confront these champions, who were in most cases twice his size, telling them "no, no, no - you're doing it all wrong.." Only to see these guys get dead silent, and listen to Bruce, hanging on his every word like obedient children..

                      I've done my research.

I've fought in the martial arts professionally as my friends here know..

I love Boxing with all my heart, and frankly - I favor a Boxer over anyone, anytime, anywhere.. Including myself.

But this is Bruce Lee we're talking about.

Bruce is everything we say and more.

                      People just don't get it.

He could strike with lethal force. (deadly, as in "dead")

                      Nobody would have fought him.

He was too ****ing dangerous.. That's why he would take over entire martial arts exhibtions, and tournaments to do pushups and **** like that.. Are people doing the math here?.. The man was a very unique specimen.

I find this all ironic, hilarious, and most of all - ridiculous.

Bruce talked about the doubters himself..

More than anything - nobody had as much heart as Bruce Lee.

His spirit and his soul, his agressiveness and voraciousness would have consumed any other living creature who felt his presence.

He could have intimidated Lucifer himself.

                      Real talk!
