I've tried to qualify the argument by telling you all the experts of the day KNEW that the guy could destroy the human body.

If you can explode a 300lb. heavy bag with one shot, I guess the people who saw him do that figured it wouldn't feel very good if Bruce did that to their face.

There were many, many reports of Bruce Lee getting challenged and taking on the guys who really begged for it.

He was taking people out with such speed and force - he never fought.

    That's true..

He was an executioner.. A killer.

.............I had one of his "How To" books..

Every finishing move was a shot to the eyes, adams apple, testicles, plex, or a major artery..

An organized fight was a joke to him.

He wasn't an athlete.. Again, I'll tell you - he was a killer.
This is your second great post! This doo knows Bruce well which sadly some of you guys that think Bruce was an act, don't know **** about Bruce!

I like to read posts on this, but most of you guys are sharing your opinions on Bruce and treating it like fact with comments such as "Bruce Lee was the greatest fighter that ever lived..." yada yada yada. I'm just curious to how many of you guys were even alive when Bruce was around or even young enough to remember? Or did you guys watch enough A&E specials on Bruce Lee and credit yourselves in knowing the man?

thirdly, he is a hypocrite. He stole Musashi's philosophy of having "no style", then he forms Jeet Kune Do, which is its own style.
actually, the form of no form is more of a taoist philosophy. with your recommendation of "the book of five rings", i'll throw in a recommendation for "the art of war."

and, as for the guy who said that traditional martial arts never work in the ufc, well, you seem to forget that a good number of amateur and pro fighters have a base in at least one traditional martial arts. not to mention that muay thai is considered a traditional martial art. so is jiu jitsu.

and well before the ufc, full contact tournaments have proved the effectiveness of traditional martial arts. do the research.

don't believe me, go to some workshops from any of the top "non commercial" traditional martial artists and see if you can handle them. good luck with that.

that'll be dangerous, since you dont know what's this non-commercial traditional martial artist is capable of.
