Yeah, Larry said some weird and funny stuff at times, but he adds a different flavor to the cast.

I think Larry, Jim, and George are a team with great chemistry calling the fights, probably the best on the best network (HBO).

He's done well compared to commentators of the past.

I'm sure someone will post Larry's famous quotes and one-liners.

I'll start with one:

LARRY IS A LEGEND. People are to quick to tear down boxing commentators. I mean Who was better? But i guess old larry had to go sometime. Max is cool but I think should bring in a new boxer. Maybe sugar ray.

Merchant is classic. He tells it like it is and that's that. I wanted him to actually tell Frank Warren to get the **** out because the interview was for Joe, not Frank. Nobody likes you, Frank!

larry merchant is the man, i am pissed that they wont renew his contract. i will support the guy wherever he goes... he's great, its too bad more people dont appreciate him.

he's hilarious and without it him its just going to be a bunch of jim lampleys trying to hype up a fight.

the other commentators are just really biased, i think larry is the only one who says what he really thinks on air... as crazy as it might be.
