"Boxers couldn't become mixed martial artists. That's why they're boxers," White countered Wednesday from England where UFC has an event Saturday. "They are one trick ponies. Our guys can do everything. They can box, they can kick box, they can wrestle and do jiu-jitsu. They are much better athletes than boxers."
This whole paragraph is a crock of **** especially the bolded part.......

True, lets see some of those fat guys fight for 12 rounds, they have no stamina for a 12 round fight!

Dana White is just the buffoon spokesman for the circus clowns of UFC. They are NOT martial artists, 90% of them are just a bunch of useless street punks getting paid to do what they would ordinarily do for nothing. There is no artistry in UFC, it is just a crude exhibition of violence with no redeeming values.

White makes an offer to Mayweather knowing fully well that it will be refused. Why didn't he make an offer Mayweather might accept? The correct answer is that the last thing he needs is for UFC to be exposed. Millions of dollars have been invested in UFC and the investors will be seriously annoyed when Mayweather knocks out their best street punks and makes it look eazy. The publicity would be absolutely devastating.

Go ahead Dana White offer him 20 million! Mayweather sure to accept, and this will be your chance to prove that UFC is superior to boxing. This kind of advertising is worth a hundred times more than a paltry 20 million. Put your money where your mouth is!

This will probably be going on forever. The question about UFC and Boxing. I like boxing better, but I respect the guys of UFC. There are some good athletes in UFC or MMA, but it's not like boxing doesn't have any. Look at guys like Mayweather and Mosely. Plus there are many others. Dana White should spar Mayweather and then he will have more respect for boxer's athletic ability.

Actually you have said before that MMA is 'fake' like WWE. So it should be an easy fight for you no matter what the rules are.

What city are you in? I'll find you a good MMA gym for you to go and challenge someone.

Some of the things said in this thread are just funny.

                Mayweather would get killed.

Well I think that if a fight with mayweather could be done in UFC it will be big for the Mayweather you know how much money May would get. UFC fans and Boxing would all be watching it would really break all kinds of records. I also think that in a reality type fight MMA would do better than boxing since we all know that about 90 % of street fights end up on the groud if there are no weapons involde. Boxing is a sport MMA is a more complete type of fighting.. you need good hands, Good feet, Good ground, you have to be a complete package.
I think this could happend soemthing in the near feature since MMA will be a bigger sport.

I'm in New York, but who said I will fight these bums with their rules, I said I will fight any of the MMA or UFC guys in a boxing gym with boxing rules, since they say that boxing is part of their combat, then they should beat a non-professional boxer quite easily. Like I said any of them can get in touch with me right here by PM and I will box any of their champion with boxing rules. I'm dead serious, so any of you promoters reading this get in touch with me!

I will prove that these guys can box for ****, losing to a non-professional boxer will be priceless!

                      Give me a ****ing break..

That's proof this guy is full of ****.

                      Boxers are WORLD CLASS athletes!

                      I have eyes goddamit..

I've seen these UFC guys. I know what a ****ing athlete looks like.

A few guys in the MMA are good athletes but overall the ratio of good athletes in Boxing over MMA is 10-1 at least.

Legends like Couture get knocked cold with one ****ing shot.

                      That's not WORLD CLASS anything..

(And don't tell me **** about gloves I don't want to hear it.)
You ****in ******. You don't even know what the word "athlete" means. Here's some knowledge for your ignorant ass.

                      (Webster's Collegiate Dictionary 10th Edition)
Athlete: A person who is trained or skilled in exercises, sports, or games requiring physical strength, agility, or stamina.

Follow me, as I make this comparison easy-to-follow, for your inbred-self.

                      Boxers
Training/Skill in Different Exercises: about a 4/10 Fist and footwork isn't the whole universe.
Training/Skill in Different Sports: about a 1/10 Boxing is considered a sport
Physical Strength: 3/10 Only perfecting your arms, doesn't increase your leg/back/lifting strength.
Agility: 5.5/10 pretty much lacking sprawl, moving your head/chest is only so much of the game
Stamina: 6.5/10 Usually great stamina for upper body, but the stamina on ground is a whole other story.

                      MMAer
Training/Skill in Different Exercises: 8/10 Trains extensively in leg/arm/torsal strength/speed/flexibility
Training/Skill in Different Sports:6/10 Judo is a sport, BJJ is a sport, MMA is a sport, Kickboxing is a sport, I could go on.
Physical Strength:7/10 Working pretty much all parts of body
Agility: 9/10 Not only head/chest agility but sprawl and ground agility as well.
Stamina: 6/10 Not having to trade punches forever is an advantage, but ground game needs a whole lot of stamina.

Dip****, learn your definitions, learn to not talk when you're uneducated, and then get the hell off of your computer, cause you are ****in dumb as hell.
