I agree, boxers spend all their time training how to punch effectively, they could knock out with gloves on, imagine them hitting without gloves on.

A boxers chance is to hit first without getting grappled.

Boxing is more grueling and takin shots and your arms are getting tired and theres really no way out cause you dont have the option to throw a kick since your arms are tired, and you cant just go to the ground like in MMA, you have to stand and fight.
      well guess what
if u lay on the ground
u can still get punched and kicked
not exactly my idea of resting
      just like in boxing
      ya lay on the ropes
      your legs get a rest
but you become a standing target

only thing is there have been punchers in boxing that could cave in a mans face with the small ufc gloves.. when u kick you just use your legs for power but when u punch if your vicious puncher you use your whole body.. bruce lee said kicks were better equiped for defense like a jab.. and didnt believe in kicking above the waist. becuase u would be vounrabel ..he target the groin so really the best kicks cant even be used in mma.. but you can get punched from the anywhere from the waist up in boxing... boxers like ALI and manny pacquio can also kick ..

yeah cause he was a dominant k1 champion huh???? He was an average fighter in K1, its just now hes just been knocking out these grapplers that know nothing about striking. For some reason though you all think it is impossible for a boxer who is more skilled than cro cop to do to same. Its the same logic, he was a average k1 fighter and k1 fighters only know standup just like boxers, MMA fighters do it all they box, kickbox, wrestle, and jiu jitsu right??? and all they would have to do is take the k1 guy down and its over in 30 seconds right???. Tell that to Mark Hunt and Cro Cop.

Mayweather wouldn't do well in MMA, nor would any finesse boxer, but any rough fighter would. I bet we could make Ricardo Mayorga a UFC champ without too many problems.

I agree with everything you've said in this topic except this. Floyd's power may not seem otherworldly in a boxing ring, but he would be MUCH more powerful than any MMA fighter. Those guys go down from one shot all the time from guys that aren't trained boxers. You can't judge his power in a boxing ring and say it wouldn't to anything in MMA, cuz if he did fight MMA his power would seem much more impressive due to his competition and the way those fights are.

Not sure what Floyd keeps talking about MMA, he must not realize he's giving them free publicity.
