That's just utter nonsense as anyone with any knowledge of the fighters on his resume would know. Mind you, not many were American so that does explain it somewhat.

Calzaghe has 20 title defenses. How many of those guys were actual threats to beat him? Only Reid and Lacy. Maybe Woodhall...

Actual threats or genuine world level operators? Very few were threats but that's more to do with Calzaghe than them. I certainly wouldn't view Lacy in the top 10 of Calzaghe's title opponents.

            Reid wasn't considered a threat.

Starie was considered a threat, Sheika was considered a threat (that was almost 50/50), Woodhall was considered a threat, Veit was considered a threat, Brewer was considered a threat, Mitchell was considered a threat, and Lacy was considered a threat.

Based on what I've seen of Jeff (his last four fights), I wouldn't put him in the class of Delaney, Reid, Starie, Sheika, Woodhall, Veit, Brewer, Mitchell, or Eubank. He makes the top 10 (just).

You wouldn't put Starrie,Sheika, Veit, Michell and Woodhall in the class of Lacy?

But you picked Lacy to knock out Joe in one Round?

                  lol.

I said if Calzaghe fights as he usually does (ie trying to take his opponents head off from the opening bell) he'd be taken out in the first round, and don't blame me that his career-best performance against Mario Veit in Germany was only shown on German TV (the last I'd seen of Joe was him looking absolutely awful in that Salem debacle, with his head all over the place from the divorce and custody battles and ****).

But I also said if Calzaghe was at his best and could roll back the years he'd completely dominate Lacy.

I'm talking about fighters being viewed as actual threat to beat him. They were either toss ups or favorites going into the fight. Lacy was definetely viewed as the biggest threat as everyone was picking him to win. Other than that, very few of his opponents have been given much of a chance and that's more to do with matchmaking than Joke's actual skills...
