Because in the eyes of the public and the boxing public, fighting overseas isnt a big deal when there is enough p4p talent here to go around, that isnt the case in the UK.

Taylor has stayed in the US and fought Hopkins, Winky, Ouma, and now Spinks. He will fight the Miranda-Pavlik winner in the US. It's not like he's ducking top competition by staying in his home country, unlike Joke. The fact is Calzaghe HAS to leave his country if he wants to prove himself...

No, I think that you guys have misunderstood my original intentions. I said that both Calzaghe deserves blame for claiming he wants to fight in America and then making no real effort to do so. Then also Hopkins and Taylor deserve blame for saying that they will fight Calzaghe (to end his reign...or for whatever reason) and then they make no effort to do so either.

Its the fact that they each say something that they dont go through with (same as Kessler with his 'I'll fight Calzaghe anywhere, anytime, for any amount of money...as long as its the right place, time and money'), but Calzaghe is the only one who is criticised for doing so.

All these issues are easy to figure out when you realize that the sport of boxing only exists in the amateurs. Once you turn pro it becomes the business of boxing. The difference is, the amateurs fight for titles in the pros you fight for money. As long as the fans will enable a fighter to make big money fighting safe fights then what is going on in ALL divisions will continue. After all if Taylor or Calzaghe can fight tomato cans and make millions while prolonging their career which enables them to make more money this will continue. This all really started when for some reason we now have what, at least 4 "WORLD Champions" and in one division a ahemm a "Super Champion" Sounds like Professional Wrestling to me.
