Did you even watch the fight? That was a great fight. If it was a ****ty fight, why were people calling for a rematch?

He has raised his offer a couple of times over the last few days. I'm hearing no counter offer in the other direction.
Again, Taylor is committed to a fight in May. Why should Taylor and his people be worrying about their next fight when they still have business to take care of with Spinks? If Taylor overlooks Spinks, he could easily lose the fight.

Regarding the mandatory, HBO itself is what is pushing for a fight between Taylor and the winner of Pavlik-Miranda. They are the ones that had DiBella place that fight on the Taylor undercard (DiBella doesn't promote either guy) in order to immediately start the promotion for the mandatory afterwards. Taylor would be a fool to shun HBO, just as Calzaghe is being foolish by not taking the Kessler fight even though HBO is pushing for it...

Warren said after the Calzaghe vs Manfredo fight that he'd be making an offer to Kessler (which he did) and that he'd sent an offer to Jermaine Taylor a couple of days ago. So I dont think its the case where he has simply changed directions.
The problem is that neither offer appears to be serious. He's just trying to save face when he puts Calzaghe in with Inkin. He'll say he made offers and they were turned down, while ignoring the obvious fact this his offers were absurdly low...

It seems to me that the Kessler negotiations are on-going. I really hope that the pressure for the Kessler fight becomes too good for either fight to penny-pinch over.
If the Kessler negotiations were serious, Warren wouldn't be looking for other opponents already...
