4 million is a good offer, but its not happening. Does Warren not check if a fighter has a fight lined up or not. Taylor fights on 19 May, and having a fight 2 months later.

Of course he does. That's why he's making the offer - he knows it will never be accepted. $4million is hardly the biggest purse anyone's ever gonna make so that won't definitely make Taylor want to accept the fight, plus he will NEVER take a fight two months after he's got one already scheduled. It's a joke. In two weeks we'll hear Warren telling us that Taylor's scared of Calzaghe or that he priced himself out of the fight. Same ****ing Frank Warren. Calzaghe is 35 - he's wasted his career. If Warren were serious he'd be talking about an August date, but he's not so **** him.

This fight wouldn't happen before September at the earliest and certainly not for $4m USD.

Here's hoping it's just negotiating tactics and this is the fight they're going for. It's not often you get the undisputed #1s in each division facing off.

I think Frank Warren hurts UK based boxing, i think he likely advises these tactics to fighters who really do want to fight the best and travel outside the country. Not tomention never aggressively making serious offers for US fighters to come there. I think most US fighters would do it, FOR THE RIGHT MONEY.

At least Warren doesn`t put all his shows on pay per view...at least he gives boxing to the UK public for NOTHING.

What the **** are you people moaning about him for...he could have easily put all his fights on sky and mugged off all the UK boxing fans who dont pay for sky sports.

He isn`t responsible for Calzaghe not fighting Kessler or Hopkins....those fighters have promoters too, and they negotiate until they get a big fat pay check and the odds are in their favor.

You are living in a ****ing dreamworld where Frank Warren doesn`t want Calzaghe to fight anyone....of course he does...but it takes agreement from both sides

LOL you're living in a dreamworld mate and you have no ****ing idea what you're talking about.

The big fights for Warren's fighters used to be on Sky Box Office but Sky dropped him so he went to ITV who picked him up as they had just lost the football to the BBC. If Calzaghe isn't on PPV in the States it's because HBO don't think he's a big enough star - any Jermaine Taylor fight will almost certainly be PPV over there.

Calzaghe does want the big names, but Warren is scared of losing his only world champion. Other than Calzaghe he's got a prospect - Khan - and little else. If Warren were serious about getting Jermaine Taylor then he would have offered about $6million and a September date, not July when the whole world knows Taylor wont be ready for then. He's playing games to make himself look good.

The offer is a joke. This is why no one takes Calzaghe or most British fighters seriously. Scared to leave the UK and won't even make a fair offer for someone to go there. ****, Tsyzu got paid $5 million to go there and he's not even that big of a draw. Taylor is a much bigger draw and he's only going to offer $4 million, which he could easily make fighting in the US?
