It's a joke. In two weeks we'll hear Warren telling us that Taylor's scared of Calzaghe or that he priced himself out of the fight. Same ****ing Frank Warren. Calzaghe is 35 - he's wasted his career. If Warren were serious he'd be talking about an August date, but he's not so **** him.
    Couldn't have said it better

He isn`t responsible for Calzaghe not fighting Kessler or Hopkins....those fighters have promoters too, and they negotiate until they get a big fat pay check and the odds are in their favor.

You are living in a ****ing dreamworld where Frank Warren doesn`t want Calzaghe to fight anyone....of course he does...but it takes agreement from both sides
Come on did you watch the fights this past weekend. That card was horrible. The two matches they showed on HBO were mismatches and then Enzo probably had the worst mismatch of all. It sucks because all three fighters are good, but Frank Warren puts them in positions to where people say they fight nobody. I just hope that Amir Khan see's the light and drops Warren before it's too late.

As for Taylor/Calzaghe it won't happen in July. Taylor fights in May and Calzaghe injured his hand. This offer is a joke and why doesn't Warren have his best fighter take on Kessler and see who the best SMW in the world is.

The big fights for Warren's fighters used to be on Sky Box Office but Sky dropped him so he went to ITV who picked him up as they had just lost the football to the BBC. If Calzaghe isn't on PPV in the States it's because HBO don't think he's a big enough star - any Jermaine Taylor fight will almost certainly be PPV over there.

Calzaghe does want the big names, but Warren is scared of losing his only world champion. Other than Calzaghe he's got a prospect - Khan - and little else. If Warren were serious about getting Jermaine Taylor then he would have offered about $6million and a September date, not July when the whole world knows Taylor wont be ready for then. He's playing games to make himself look good.

Taylor is a much bigger draw and he's only going to offer $4 million, which he could easily make fighting in the US?
While I dont disagree with any of you about July being an unreasonable date for a Taylor fight and Warren being a ****e promoter, I would make a few words of antithesis.

At least Warren is chasing the fight. What are Taylor's promoters doing? As far as I can see, they are only rejecting. There have been no counter offers from Taylor's people, no negotiations. I'd imagine that most offers Taylor would come up with, Calzaghe would accept unless the money wasnt right. Of course WARREN wants it in England, he makes more money from it if its in England. As far as I have seen, it looks like Taylor will likely refuse Calzaghe, make no counter offer and then take a crap mandatory/contender as his next fight. Surely thats worth than just making a bad initial offer.

Calzaghe is proabably not the biggest fight to be made for Taylor. A Wright rematch or even fighting the winner of Pavlik/Miranda could be bigger in the US.

Don't know if I would go that far, it depends on what is offered for that fight, etc. Right now $4M doesn't seem like enough to travel to the UK compared to what he could make here.

This guy Warren is a worse rat than Don King...
This entire offer is just a cloud of smoke. He doen't want Calzaghe to fight Taylor,Hopkins or Kessler...or anyone who might beat him and ruin the cash cow.

I will tell you that Calzaghe next fight, the one after and the one after that will be Manfredo-like opponenets. The only time he will ever fight one of the big boys is when he is about to retire.
And the reason he won't is because he can put 35,000 in the seats fighting guys who pose no danger.
Is this so difficult for his fans to see?...if you wish to know who the real enemy of boxing is,I suggest looking in the mirror.

I'll bet he never leaves home, beats a few more bums, proclaims himself the greatest and retires.
But in the meantime, you folks keep wishing...while Warren and your Joe share a good laugh, not to mention a pot of gold.

That's a fair enough point. We'll have to wait and see what the Taylor camp does. I guarantee that if they do attempt to renegotiate then the fight won't happen. Warren has put this offer on the table, he knows it won't be accepted, and he'll press ahead with the Inkin fight. Does anyone think the Inkin fight won't be next? lol.
