Just spoke with Mogens Palle (Kessler promoter)

I'll go into detail in my Thursday column here at BScene, but this should tide folks over:

    - Palle stated that the $3 Million offer was not what was sent and that the actual offer was $1.75 with certain TV rights, but that Danish TV isn't worth that much as an on-top

    - Stated that HBO said nothing about a July date reserved for Calzaghe and that Cal's hands would probably make that date impossible

    - Palle stated that Kessler would be willing to travel to the U.S. or U.K. for Calzaghe, and would have no problem traveling to the U.S. for Hopkins or Taylor

There was much more and I'll have greater detail Thursday.

Well, Warren is a complete mental case whos ALWAYS giving out false info in literally everything he ever says.

The guy has clear issues in my opinion, always has had and I can't help but feel sorry for him. He's ill.

      Thanx for the info.

BTW, I read that the offer was £3m, not dollars. I haven't a clue if it was right, but just letting you know............

The offer at $1.75 is less than one million pounds

They offered kessler 1.75 million dollars for that fight? And kessler rejected it? Wtf, hes not even worth that much. Kessler has fought stellar opponents compared to calzaghe. People pick on calzaghe for the people he has fought, but kessler hasn't foughten anyone in the league of calzaghe has fought. Mundine, he is a joke, thats when ottke knocked him out. Lucky punch my ass, mundine=overrated

You can come at calzaghe for taking that crappy fighter manfredo, but his record proves he is the best smw on who has fought. And most have dodge calzaghe his whole career, but now all of a sudden everyone calls calzaghe out. What a ****ing joke

For sure. I knew Frank Warren was full of **** when he was saying Kessler and his promoter backed out. Even Larry Merchant knew it, thats why he cut him off and acted like he wasn't there after the Manfredo fight.

I figured what he said wasn't true. It's obvious Kessler wants to fight Calzaghe, in fact it's the most important goal in his career.

Kessler got nearly 1.75$ for both the Beyer and the Andrade fights each. Why should he accept as little for going to the other guy's backyard? Like I said before, Warren's just making ridiculous offers to people, so he can claim they're ducking Calzaghe. Childish, really...

Punchy...call me Cliff. And I wrote that the scenario was UNLIKELY for Manfredo to even be in it...but I couldn't completely diss the fight and violate my NY reso to try and not dump on Boxing at every turn.
