The British stop fights quicker than they do over here. It comes with the territory. I'm sure Manfredo knew this......

no one can gurantee what the outcome would of been.. but im sure manfredo would prefer losing by KO than having any chance stolen from him like it was.. But its how refs are in UK not to mention there was too much to lose.. If joe lost, there goes his chance at any big fights.. so fatty ref was likely instructed by warrren to do that if chance came..

BEST POST EVER, AND DUMB ASSES ON THIS FORUM say i'm an alt but if you view my earlier posts I was all the way with calzaghe. But calzaghe looked terrible in this fight when manfredo could block as many punches as he did. Compbox lies, joe didn't land as many as it says

Pros on larry merchant: He called calzaghe out on kessler... And said what about kessler

Negatives: He bad mouth manfredo even though slappy landed next to nothing and the fight was stopped too early

It's bull**** when you can see what manfredo was trying to do. He was trying to pull an ali, by getting joe tired out because joes a moron who punches non-stop and doesn't pace himself well... Kind of like a young george foreman but leaps faster not nearly as strong

in regards to the stoppage, when you get rocked, then let your opponernt throw twenty three (counted) shots in teh next 5-10 seconds while you throw none and let the ropes hold you up, the fight will get stopped sometimes. too early, sure, makes any difference? nope, allowed manfredo to fight another day

i just saw the fight it was an early stoppage, it was supposed to be an excibitions for calzaghue and that didnt happen. It was a title fight, and it was not treated like one.

boxing has become a sport filled with *******. I'd be the one fighting like joe calzaghe non-stop but it's like this, the ****er doesn't know how to pace himself well. And his reputation for hitting hard is bs, when he couldn't even knock peter down.

i thought joe looked pretty ****in good, can somebody please show me the last time calzaghe was hit clean, rocked, or hurt by somebody? joe calzaghe is the most underrated boxer, because he dominates his opponents better than PBF, winky, jermain or b-hops, or KESSLER do.manfredo is a decent b level fighter, and joe made him look like one. he's not that bad, see his fight with pemberton, and the future will also show hes better than joe made him look. I can't stand when fighters who were dominated such as lacy and manfredo bad talk calzaghe instead of giving him his props for giving them the assbeating of their lives. Bring on kessler, bring on b-hops, bring on any 168lber in the world.
and after watching that fight, i see why joe has had little motivation to fight in america.
also notice how big of a smw calgazhe is. i think hes the biggest smw.
but to critique calzaghe, to go down as an atg smw, he needs to beat b-hops. Not kessler so much, because people will say he was like lacy, but b-hops is established as an atg already so beating him would solidify calzaghes legacy, or tarnish it.
