Wlad beating Brewster removes some doubts from Wlad's mind, making him a confident and better fighter, as well as increasing his marketability.

The belts are tied up with defenses and he still has time to pick one of them up later in the year. This is a good fight for boxing, assuming Brewster is truly ready.

I'd like to see him stay active however and fight at least 3 times this year.

But hell, I wouldnt mind seeing him against Toney, Thompson, Skeleton or hell, even JC Gomez.
well,,,I think a big part of wlad wanting the rematch is the fact that brewster is an exciting fighter and has somewhat of a following among fans and would sell. I dont think even wlad would consider it full revenge considering brew has already lost to serge and been inactive. I still think he's a more dangerous opponent then those other guys you mentioned. none of those guys have the power to bother wlad in my opinion and they wouldnt sell ( besides toney)

Perhaps, and the point about selling the fight is important also.
But in reality, regardless of who Wlad fights Wlad fans will watch him.
I understand that Brew in this stage is still a live challenger, but I dont think this victory will truly erase the L on his record.

brewster is done for, hes just tryin to get paid.. so by your definition wlad can never truly erase that L... or any of his others for that matter

well say Brew comes back with an impressive KO?
Then Wlads victory over him would hold much more worth.

                Brewster IBF #3

One interesting point about this matchup: Brewster is next on the list of IBF contenders.

                Look at the IBF rankings:
                Champion: Wlad
                #1 (vacant)
                #2 (Austin)
                #3 (Brewster)

Does this mean Brewster could be considered Wlad's next mandatory?

The only way Brewster wins this time is with an aluminum bat and a 10 man entourage. American heavyweights today are complete garbage. Get ready for a Wlad-Vitali dual world reign.

Keyword being somehow... Just like the first fight. That is the only way Brewster will ever beat Wladdy.
