    Confirmed

I'm resurrecting this thread because it's just been confirmed that Wlad vs. Brewster II will happen on July 7!

    It's now on BoxRec's schedule.

Duffgun, the "boxing talk" (if I don't put in the space between boxing and talk it just shows **********) website reports it has been confirmed, and so does the "boxnews" website in their Russian language section.

yea,,,the thing with brewster is even if he is rusty,,, his power and heart will always be there. he's not going to fold his tent and go home the moment wlad lands one of his missiles on him. he'll get up and fight on. I think wlad wins this time but its a dangerous fight for him

Brewster's tremendous heart is why, I don't want this fight to happen and think that the IBF shouldn't sanction it. Brewster hasn't fought in over a year and was badly beaten(and injured) in his last fight, which he lost. Frankly, I think that because of these reasons, Brewster will not be able to be competitive but because he has alot of pride and heart, he take alot of punishment along the way.

Another comment; this fight is probably not set in stone like many poster here think...If Valuev wins tomorrow, I think discussions(and negotiations) will start on a possible unification bout possibly in July or August. If you guys can remember, Klitscko was scheduled for months to fight Briggs, only to change opponents at the last minute...

yup, brewster is a back up plan in case valuev should lose or prove to not be interested in unification....

wlad needs to stay active and will want to be available to the winner of the briggs/ibrag fight in june... if he fights in july against brewster it would set up a unification bout around november

I'm optimistic that we'll see at 'unifier' bout sometime this year. A potential Klitschko-Valuev fight in Germany would make both fighters very rich men. If not for the glory, then the money should be the motivating factors to unify..

Also, it's good to see that Wlad will hopefully be fighting three times this year if all goes to plan.
