In my opinion if joe doesn't get a ko or a tko on manfredo, then it's going to make joes career look terrible. If manfredo can go 12 rounds with an elite fighter, he really does have the last laugh then.

      I agree.

Unfortunately for him I think he's tough..

So if it's a beating; it's going to be a beating.

No matter what it's a "Rocky" chance he has.

i'll give joe a pass if he decisions manfredo because he's 35 and has broken his hands many times, also because manfredo is a tough live body. i have a feeling manfredo will be like lamon brewster, he'll keep trying no matter how bad joe's schooling and slapping him. this could be a repeat of the lacy fight, with peter going down late but getting up to take a lot more punishment. only somebody with a quick brain and solid fundamentals like kessler stands a chance against calzaghe

That doesn’t mean he won’t. Calzaghe on paper has every advantage in size, speed and power. The only thing he might be missing against Ring Magazine #10 contender, and “Contender” runner-up, Peter Manfredo (26-3, 20 KOs) is an extra nine minutes. [details]
Can the writer of this article become a streetsweeper? He'd do the world more good that way. Worst article on here for years.

Dont be ridiculous. Ali went the distance with some fighters who were completely unimpressive. Everyone has fights that they should win easier than they do. That doesnt make their career look 'terrible'.

Regardless, it'll be another dominant performance for Calzaghe anyway.

Manfrodo can win by losing. Everyone is already talking about Calzone's pathetic performance against Bika. If Manfrodo, who couldn't even win 5 round matches against fellow amateurs in a tv show, takes Calzone beyond 8 rounds, Joe will be cemented forever as a typical manufactured euro fighter. He'll never get a shot at Hopkins.

Maybe Manfrodo is a warm-up fight before Joe challenges Sergio Mora? After all, the latter is Manfrodo's twice conqueror. Which underlines just how pathetic this exhibition match really is.

I agree the fight is a joke, Manfredo is a capable fighter and has had a couple of good wins of late but Calzaghe should be on a different level.

I see a longish fight with Calzaghe winning by TKO late on, Manfredo has had about three fights over 10 rounds so he will run out of steam especially eating Calzaghe's counters all night!

How would you like to be Manfredo's Insurance Agent!

Frankly I'm still trying to figure out how Manfredo even gets a shot at the title. This seems more at an attempt for Calzaghe to pad his perfect record and come away with a easy payday. I really don't think Manfredo has the experience or skill to even stand in with Calzaghe's sparring partners. This will be an easy win for Calzaghe with a build-up to a superfight with Kessler. Now!! thats one fight I'd pay to see!!!
