No takers? I guess you aren't as confident as you thought.

We keep being told Calzaghe is taking this fight for Exposure in USA. Why is Manfredo that popular in USA or is he. Any serious boxing fan can see he is ****. Is it pay per veiw or what???????? Because its free in uk on ITV, but i will be watching the US Masters on BBC instead. In fact if the fight was in my back garden id draw the curtains. By taking this fight Calzaghe does his credibility no favours IMO.

true about this fight not doing calzaghe any favors. and the whole manfredo being popular he isnt no one knows who he is even after the contender, only people who know who manfredo is in the states are people who follow boxing or people from rhode island. calzaghe and frank warren are using the whole popularity angle to try and cover up the fact that they're taking on another lesser opponent.

i aint talking trash on manfredo but i don't think he's ready for this fight against calzaghe, he's not on that kind of level yet, that and his style plays right into calzaghes strengths and they know that, frank warren is very sneaky when it comes to matching up his fighters. but the manfredo being popular issue is just smoke and mirrors to cover up or give credibility to this fight. frank warren thinks that everyone is as dumb as he is when it comes to this type of tactic in match making.

Manfredo couldn't win a fight with a boxing garden snake. Let's remember this is the same guy who was eliminated in the first round of Contender, and was brought back only after another fighter got chicken pox! Then he went on to lose to Sergio Mora TWICE.

This is why JoKe Calzone is never going to get respect. He never conducts himself as a champ. He has fought perhaps 3 legitimate fights in his career. The rest were tomatoes.

That doesn’t mean he won’t. Calzaghe on paper has every advantage in size, speed and power. The only thing he might be missing against Ring Magazine #10 contender, and “Contender” runner-up, Peter Manfredo (26-3, 20 KOs) is an extra nine minutes. [details]
I'll give Manfredo a puncher's chance, but nothing more. As I said in another thread, as much as I like Manfredo, I gotta say that Calzaghe is just too superior for Manfredo to handle, I don't care how well Freddie Roach trained him, I just don't see Manfredo pulling it off.

A puncher's chance when he has 50% KO wins? Ha!
