Being considered pfp number one is great. That is a perception. It does in no way mean that Roy was as good as he was when he was 25, 27, or even 33. Roy was clearly aging, taking more hits (in the Woods fight this can be seen) and scientifically, losing large amounts of muscle mass permanently affects your athletic ability. This is a scientific fact. Nothing else needs to be said.

Saying something is fact does not make it so. Care to provide the links to the scientific studies you are drawing your conclusions from?

You are actually asking for proof that muscle damage causes severe harm to the athlete? Wow...well, ok. I shall get it for you.

Joe has had one fight in Denmark, one in Germany and one in scotland.
Other than those three, all of his fights have taken place in England or Wales.
          Globetrotting my ass.
Hopkins and Taylor have travelled more miles in their career than Joe.
          Nice try though.

Hindsight is 20/20. The fact that you can say today that Roy must have been on the decline when he first faced Tarver makes you no seer. Nice speculation though.
            Delusional thoughts from fantasy island.
If you couldnt see Roys reflexes, speed and overall skill detoriating in his last few fights then I dont need to have a boxing discussion with you. Becuase your either deluded or retarted.

Why would Hop box outside the US?
To get less money, less prestige and tarnish his legacy like Joe has done?

Sure, I'm just dying to see how losing 25 lbs from heavy to light heavy scientifically caused permanant damage to Jones.

Jones deteriorated from loss of natural reflexes and most importantly, his aura of invincibility. That's what made him a shot fighter.

Yes, you'd be better off sticking to tea time chats with your fellow tarts above. Stick to small words, your writing is horrendous.

Quote me some of your posts noting Roy's decline in reflexes and skill BEFORE Jones-Tarver 1. Links please.

If Calzaghe lost to Hopkins in a close fight he will be remembered a better fighter than staying undefeated after beating Kessler then retiring.

My only point is that before we start to point out that boxers like Calzaghe,Kessler and even Hatton (at one stage ) get stick for not fighting in the US, we should look at how many top Americans are prepared to travel themselves or just play it safe on home soil.
