I think Calzaghe should go to America for this fight it would be huge.But it may not happen anyway im not too sure Hopkins will get past Wright,its kind of funny how people seem to bring up Calzaghe fighting in the UK all the time but never seem to mention that Hopkins has never boxed outside of the US.

Legends don't travel to fight challengers. Calzone wants to be a legend, he needs to accomplish something great. It seems Calzone only cares about being a local champion, not a world champion.

Be grateful Hopkins is even considering inviting the Welsh girl over when Calzone has never accomplished anything great in his entire career.

You guys do not seem to understand. The U.S. is the mecca of boxing, and Hopkins is the champ at 175 until he is beaten or officiall retires. He beat the man at that weight, and that's that. Joe would be seen as the challenger to Hopkins due to the difference in weight class, and Hopkins longer reigning status as an elite fighter.

False. Jones already substantially damaged his 'husk' before he faced Tarver. Tarver then, a good fighter (not great) had enough skills to take advantage of a depleted Roy Jones. The performance Roy gave vs Tarver the 1st go round were the last echoes of a great fighter, and he showed a lot of heart.

False. Roy was considered by most authorities in the sport at the time of Jones-Tarver 1, to be the P4P greatest fighter in boxing. Tarver came along and shattered that myth, particularly in Jones-Tarver 2. Jones never was the same again. Johnson then finished off his remains.

Hindsight is 20/20. The fact that you can say today that Roy must have been on the decline when he first faced Tarver makes you no seer. Nice speculation though.

Funny, I'm the one pointing out that Lacy was a manufactured fighter similar to Peter is today, only less accomplished. It is you euros who are arguing about what a great fighter Lacy is. That means on Sunday after the exhibition fight you'll also be talking about what a great fighter Manfrodo is. Keep digging Calzone a deeper hole...he'll never become great because his fans have such low expectations for him. Calzone is like the George W Bush of boxing, without the speech impediments!
