The Hopkins-De La Hoya KO was strange. Most guys stay on the canvas barely moving when they go down from body shots or go to a knee and stay there in pain (RJJ-Hill, Chavez Jr.-Ziokolowski, Ward-Sanchez, Gatti-Dorin, DLH-Coley, Trinidad-Pendelton, Ward-Quinonez, Barrios-Nagy, etc...).

I won't say DLH definitely quit but looking at other body shot stoppages it does seem strange.

    Worst serial quitter= Andrew Golota
Worst single quit job= Roberto Duran

tyson and golota are the absolute most pathetic quitters at heavyweight. at least in tysons case he showed heart in some of his fights including with lewis but golota is the worst. his quitting against tyson and the bowe and grant fights were just pathetic. he should have been banned from boxing or at least suspended

Golota should have been DQ'd and suspended when he bit Samson Po'uha.

Bruce "The Atlantic City Express" Seldon

Has anyone watched Tyson vs Seldon?

Man, I'm still trying to get my money back from that fight.

The pre-fight build-up was better than the fight. They talked about
how athletic Bruce was. How high he could jump. Bruce said he had
the style to beat Tyson, blah, blah...

How could you not get up from a light graze to the head?

Did Tyson hit a nerve or something?

Did Bruce need a little nap before continuing?

I'm still buggin' out from that one.

Even though though he was past his prime ,i thought Tyson quit against Mcbride and Danny Williams.

I don't see anything wrong with quitting if you know you have no chance left. If you saw the Chavez-Johnson fight it was sad. Chavez could not miss, and the last few rounds Johnson could not throw a punch hard enough to effect Chavez, much less KO him. He did not quit and now a BRAVE man's wife has no husband and his children lost their father.

Like its been said before in this thread when somebody climbs into the ring, they are no longer a quitter. Its guys like Naz who had the money so just left the sport and Scott Harrison who couldnt concerntrate on boxing. Guys like Tyson are a sad story cos Tyson wanted to quit long before those fights but there was the money problems he had and the promoters talking in his ears and all the boxing fans 'n critics telling him he was a better champ than Lewis and could still beat him.

Morales was spent, he had nothing left. He's far from a Quitter. He knew within himself, he didn't have anything left other wise he would have gotten up. As we know he's a true warrior.
