The only controversial thing in there is JM MArquez being that high. I'm fine with most of the rest of it. I just think Wright and Juan should be flipped.

I dont think you can ever have a P4P list that isn't controversial. People weight different things different ways, the whole thing of it is confused.

Awesome to see the Marquez brothers 3 & 4, but I don't know if Winky should have dropped that far. We all know he isn't the most exciting fighter, but he is a very good boxer and his draw with Taylor very easily could have gone his way.

The p4p list isn't about quality of opposition, it's about where each guy would rank if different weights were not a factor in terms of ability and potential. I'm not sure why Hatton wouldn't be in there. I'm also not sure how Hatton can be leapfrogged by Calzaghe in a period where Rick pitched a virtual shutout against a world titleholder and Calzaghe didn't even fight!

Hatton has been in the p4p rankings since he beat Kostya Tszyu (who was ranked number 3 by the Ring before the fight. He has dropped as a couple of guys have gone into the rankings ahead of him, notably the Marquez brothers and Calzaghe. Cotto was in the rankings but a great showing by Marquez against Barrera bumped him. I know Hatton is possibly the most hated fighter on this forum, but the Ring's editorial team obviously seems to think that he has some ability.

And as for Hatton, i think he slips to eleven with this.

Because while its not about talent faced, its about talent. And all hatton did by beating Urango the way he did, was prove that he is an elite fighter. But he didnt prove he was a p4p fighter.

But you see, P4P is kind of bull****. We have seen time and time again fighters that can't even move up 5-7 pounds.

It was made for people like Ray Robinson because he was able to move up from welterweght, capture the middle-weight title, and almost capture the Light-Heavyweight title.

It really dosn't matter, Heavyweights are the best fighters, even if they aren't as exciting in most cases.

You really can't say for example: "If I would take Floyd Mayweather Jr. and make him a Heavyweight, he would dominate"...I am just not sure you can because it is easier to move a 147 body-frame, then a 200+. How many people have moved like Ali?
How many have moved like Mayweahter?
More Mayweathers than Ali's.

This is also what made Tyson so devastating: a 220 pound man fighting like he was a middle-weight, a true freak of nature.
