oquendo was knocked out by light hitting john ruiz in his last big fight and many people thought oquendo should have got the nod over evander. I just cant see him beating a top 10 opponent. he doesnt have the stamina anymore

I agree it all comes down to the match up .
He prob is not going to beat Wlad any time soon but Briggs would be a good match for him at this time.
Holyfield prime VS Briggs prime = Holyfield KO or D
Holyfield Now Vs Briggs Now= Holyfield split

And no I wouldn't rule out a knockout for Briggs either, anything can happen but I think the match up is in Holys favor.

briggs is the only top guy I could see holy having a half way descent chance of winning just based on briggs stamina being so terrible. the other guys would wear holyfield down. holy just cant fight at a good sustained pace anymore over the long haul

That's a horrible matchup for Holy, man.

I'm starting to think the Toney that beat Jirov at cruiser would beat the Holy that knocked Qawi out. Toney is just a flat out master.

But Qawi would have knocked out Jirov lol.
Holy did have a hell of a time with Q in the first fight and Toney didn't have all that easy of a time with J.
Don't know but it would be a good fight.

I think Holyfield has a chance against all the belt holders except Wlad. They should give Holyfield a shot at the title after maybe 1 or 2 more fights. I think he could do it against the right opponent.

I'll admit Holyfield did look really sharp last night but... he looked pretty damn sharp against Jeremy Bates too. Point is, although he's picking the right opponents for his comeback, he's not ready for a championship level fight just yet. I'd like to see him fight a top ten or twenty guy like Brock, Mccall, Krasniqi, or even a JCG before getting a title shot.
