His fight vs Urango was fine, and he threw plenty of punches. He did not overdo the holding until late in the fight.

Those who complain about Hatton's fight with Urango, do so fruitlessly. It was a fine fight and he did his job well.

Like I said before, it was the smartest strategy againt Tszyu you could do being Hatton, even if it would of been better to see less holding and more fighting.

I prefer to see fighters worn down by punches, not worn down by grappling.

If I was Hatton and had to fight Tszyu, yeah, I would Russian-Bearhug him all night. You think I would want to get hit by his punches? Hell NO.

I don't want to hear anybody on this board who would say different. If you could win by wearing Tszyu out by wrestling him down because he was 35, coming off of two serious injuries, 9 rounds in 3 years, fighting at 3 in the morning when you know Old People are in bed by 5:00PM, etc. , you would do the same. LOL, I had to add that.

Still a good victory in my opinion, even if I wanted to see a modern boxing match.

That is probably untrue, and even so, it does not matter.

The reason it does not matter is because he threw lots of punches. It was nothing like a younger Ruiz fight where it was all holding. Hatton clinched rarely until late in the fight, and when he did clinch early it was hardly for any length of time.

Understand the difference between clinching and hugging.

          There is one.

I'm not sure what the fuss is about?

Outside of Collazo Hatton has done OK in recent fights, Collazo's style is Hattons nightmare but he still got the win.

It never ceases to amaze me the amount of hate there is on here for the guy, at the end of the day he is still unbeaten and has picked titles up in two weight decisions, he is not ducking people hence the fight with Castillo.

Whats weird is that lots of you expected Hatton to have the silky skills of say a PBF but he has always been a brawler? If you understand boxing then it is clear!

what kind of style is that? Go punch opponent then clinch? Punch, go clinch opponent. It goes on like that throughout the fight. That is mad ghey simple & plain. You wanna talk brawl, look at Barrera vs Morales fights or Pac vs Morales fights. Clinching is so few. Hatton is a wrestler wearing gloves.

clinching is not illegal, its a part of boxing, you can tie your opponent up on the inside...

Boxing used to have a lot more clinching than it does now.

This is true, some of the best fights in history (example Marciano vs Charles I) have a huge amount of clinching, far more than most of Hatton's fights.
