Great post, but I think it's his performances that are keeping him lower down my top ten right now.

I would have it PBF, Pacquaio, Winky, Taylor, Calzaghe, Barrera, Castillo, Hopkins, R Marquez, Hatton

I think he needs to be winning more dominantly than he has been to put himself higher up there. If he defeats Castillo then for me he goes up. If he defeats him impressively he goes further up. But then after that fight he needs to fight Mayweather, Mosley, Oscar, someone like that to keep that up. His performances and opponents since Tszyu have, I'm afraid, left something to be desired. And I'm a huge Hatton fan, I went to every fight in Britain from Magee onwards. We all know he can do it, let's hope it starts with Castillo.

Just for the record..I don't hate Hatton. But not being a fan of his,I can be objective.Unlike his fans, who if you don't worship him...then you hate him.

I just look at the guy and wonder what the fuss is about.

Maybe it's because I have only seen his fights against Kosta,Collazo and Urango. He looks very ordinary to me.Good heart, little talent...and great management.

As for local, when I use that word...it means, yes he's a 'world' champion, but a limited one.As in location, fighting lesser opponents in his home town is not impressive to me.

And I know he is trying to make it in America...and that's good.I have more respect for him in doing that,as opposed to Calzaghe.
The next Calzaghe fight against the tv guy is a travesty and a joke.

In fact, let me remove that tag from Hatton...its all Calzaghe's.
He is the true joke and local champion...

That was probably the greatest win in the history of British Boxing.
        LMAO......What a bunch of nonsense.

I dont think that its particularly hard to be objective.

And he would have been better off doing it earlier in his career as i am sure he could have got to the weight before. But beating great opponents is what he eventually wants to be remembered for and not winning in so many weights.
              So he fought Urango?

I have Hatton at #12 on my list. But to be truthful, I am kind of looking for any excuse to drop him further cause he hasnt showed anything special after Kosta. I dont worry much about it though cause we will have answers in a couple of months after his fight with Castillo. (I think Castillo wins btw)

Ricky just aint a 147lb fighter, thats obvious. Sum fighters just dont move up well, others do! Throw in the fact Collazo is the type who has the style to trouble him anyway and he has a fair excuse for not being "The man at 147!
Ricky usually makes my top 10 P4P sumwhere at the lower end! He is the best fighter in his division and thats good enough! Sure he hasnt exactly sparkled of late but i give him another chance - A good win over Castillo will boost his credentials for me, and i think JLC will bring the best out in him
