He clearly beat Trinidad, and Mosely the second time. His level of competition is simply UNMATCHED among active fighters. I really don't think he's overrated at all. He should never have been in the ring with Hopkins. And his only legit loss was against Mosely the first time, and that was fairly close. Given the level of fighters he has faced, and the results he's had, there is no way he can be on an overrated list. I mean, if he is, then who ISN'T overrated???
Who's the most over-rated fighter of all time ?

You all are gonna jump on me for saying this, but it's Rocky Marciano. I know, I know, "You're a Marciano hater, a racist, this and that, bla bla bla bla, bla!!!" But think about it. Marciano often gets credit for being a top 3-5 heavyweight of all-time. Why is that? He was extremely protected coming up, possibly the most protected future heavyweight champion in history. He then fights aging fighters like Joe Louis and Lee Savold, and guys who were built up by padded records themselves like Harry Kid Matthews. H did manage to beat good fighters like Rex Layne, and Carmine Vingo, although they themselves were very green. The best guy he fought pre-title was probably Roland LaStarza, and most people (including LaStarza) thought it was a gift win. He wins the title from another aging fighter in Walcott, and then after rematching a completely shot version of Jersey Joe, takes advantage of a not 100% version of LaStarza. He goes life and death twice with the ceramic jawed Ezzard Charles, who was a far cry from the fighter he was during the turn of the half-century. Then Rocky fights a fat tub of lard from Britain, (who didn't have any business getting a title shot in the first place) Don ****ell, and then get's the shock of his life from a pensioned-off Archie Moore before finally getting on top of him.
Most people rank him the way they do because he was undefeated. But the competition paled in comparison to Ali's, Liston's, Lewis', or even Louis' or Tyson's competition (during his first title reign of course). He was only 185-190, and 5'-10 or 11". how good could someone like that be. His skills were horrendous, yet because of "heart" alone, many have him beating guys like Tyson, Lewis, Holmes and Ali? Rocky's resume wasn't extremely terrible, but IMO it's not enough to get ranked in the top 3 or even top 5, period.Comment
