According to boxing scribe Dan Rafael, Diego Corrales' likely opponent for his April 7 ring return, at the welterweight limit of 147-pounds, may come against Joshua Clottey. Clottey is coming off a December decision loss to WBO welterweight champ Antonio Margarito, in a fight where he appeared to be winning until he badly injured his left hand and fought a defensive fight for the remainder of the contest. That is a huge jump up in weight for Corrales.Corrales is overall a better fighter and provided his chin doesn't let him down he should win a clear UD.Corrales is just a different class of fighter than Clottey.I think a move up to 140 would have made more sence for Chico.Comment

This is why I like Chico. He steps up and fights a real contender at 147 and pushes his abilities to their max, unlike some fighters. Who says this guy aint got no chin? He took some absolutely brutal shots from Castillo and looked pretty good against Casamayor. The guy was a ****in dead man walking at 135 so this will hopefully rejuvinate him and throw him into the already excellent mix at 147. Id love to see a fight between him and Cintron.Comment
